Celebration rings in at Shaleen Malhotra's wedding

A lot has been written about the superbly sexy Shaleen Malhotra getting married to his long term best friend Diksha Rampal on 4 June (2014).

Well the actor who broke million hearts when he announced his marriage with Delhi based interior decoratorDiksha, who he has known for more than a decade and started dating a couple of years back, is all set to kick start the celebrations from tonight.

Talking from Delhi Shaleen shares, "It's the bachelors and spinster's night tonight where all the youngsters will come together and have a great time."

So what is the exciting theme at the bash? "Well for girls I haven't kept any theme, for in the summer heat they have loads of tantrums regarding dresses. But for guys, the dress code is a pair of shorts (laughs). It is going to be a fun night for sure," he shares.

The party will be followed by an engagement ceremony on 2 June and marriage. When quizzed about the theme for the wedding and reception, Shaleen answers, "I think alcohol is the only theme at Punjabi weddings (laughs), so yes that would be it."

The actor's friends from Roadies days- Rannvijay Singh, Sahil Anand, Udit Vedant and Suyyash Kumar, and Kishwer Merchantt will be present at the occasion. "Most of my close family members and friends have come down and some will be joining us soon."

It must be a party with so many people around? "Oh don't even ask yaar, I can't even find a place to lie down. I have not slept well for around a week as we were away on a road trip. The drives and roads have left me all exhausted and I am yet to get some peaceful sleep."

The actor will be coming back to Mumbai on 8 June and the honeymoon has been planned for next year. As for the wedding attires, Shaleen will be dressing up in sherwani designed by a friend and Diksha has ordered for a beautiful lehnga for their most special event.
