Next morning Sumir comes to his house. Triveni says that she knew that he was not gonna bring Shagun home but why did Shagun do this. Triveni says why did Shagun celebrate her B-day in the Bhardwaj house when she knew we were waiting for her here. Sumr says that Triveni knew about Shgaun. Trivnei keeps on going on about the B-day thing making Shagun look like she was a big criminal. Triveni says that Shguan likes to spend more time with her family rather then with her husband and her in-laws. Sumirs phone rings. It;s Shagun but Sumir doesn't pick it up and leaves for his room. After Sumir leaves Damini says something to Triveni which in simple language means good job.
Shagun tries calling Sumir and Alak comes there. Shaugn complains to Alak that Sumir is not picking his phone up. Alak pacifies Shagun and tells her to ask for forgiveness from Sumir. Shagun to herself says how can Alak hide the sadness and still be happy. Alak tells Shaugn to go home.
Shagun comes home and sees the decorations and gets happy. Shaugn comes to Damini and Triveni where both of them wish her a very happy B-day but in a harsh way. Shaugn says if they are angry at her. Damini says not at all adn tells Shagun how everyone was waitng for her to come home so that they could celebrate her B-day. Triveni starts taunting Shagun and tells her that she stayed in the Bhardwaj house just cuz of her mom right? Shagun says yes adn goes. After Shagun leaves Damini asks Triveni as to why she let Shagun go so easily. Triveni says that Sumir will continue what she had started. Damini and Triveni start smiling.

Sumir angrily opens the present(It is a bottle of sindoor) and gives it to Shagun. He also wishes he a Happy B-day in a harsh way. Shagun asks Sumir to take her out for candlelight dinner. Shagun starts singing a song for Sumir. Sumir says to Shagun that she values her mother more then him. Shaugn says that is not true and she values both of them. Sumir says that there are lots of ppl to take care of Alak then why does she need Shagun. Shagun starts to say something but stops and says to herself that how can she tell him about Alak's miscarriage. Sumir to himself says that Ma was right. Shagun does care for her parents more then him and her in-laws. Sumir goes downstairs and Shagun follows. Shagun says she is sorry but Sumir doesn't listen and leaves. Triveni saw all this adn has a smile on her face.
Shaugn goes to her room when Alak calls. Alak asks if everything is fine. Shagun says not yet but it will be fine.
Shagun looks for a saari to wear. Triveni comes into Shagun's room and Shaugn doesn't know about it. Triveni walks over to the dresser and takes Shagun's mangalsutra and unties the knot. Then puts the mangalsutra where she got it from. Then Triveni takes the bottle of sindoor Sumir had given Shaugn as a present adn takes a something like oil adn rubs it on the sindoor bottle.
