When a girl broke Varun Dhawan's heart

Varun Dhawan just like his onscreen avatar believes in fighting for his love in real life too. And the young actor would have been married by now had his college sweetheart stood beside him in trying times. Varun revealed this at the trailer launch of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya.
"When I was in college, I was madly in love with a girl. But unfortunately her father didn't approve of the match. He didn't like me because I was on the verge of joining the film industry. So he emotionally blackmailed me. He told me that he had a heart problem and wanted to see his daughter getting married to someone else. I tried changing his mind but much as I tried I couldn't succeed. The girl did not fight hard enough too. If she had, I would have been a married man today."
Well, we are happy that the girl didn't fight hard enough. A single Varun Dhawan is a much more attractive prospect, right girls?
