It's like choosing between poop or crap. Both are shit and both have no shot at stardom.

Well, it's 2 early to claim a place for Tiger but he seems to have hit a jackpot in the north circuit which is vital for stardom because after mumbai circuit, it's all about north circuit.
He has a huge advantage because of Jackie shroff factor who was loved in north in his haydays.

Because there is no space for more than 5 actors in any generation; you can choose the five- Ranbir, Ranveer,...i can't choose others as of now. too competitive

I watched his appearance on Front Row with Anupama Chopra accidentally a few days ago and I have to tell you I ended up watching the whole thing. He has magnetism. He may need to work on his dialogue delivery (going by the promos) but he has more personailty than Varun when it comes to TV/public appearances and I have watched 3-4 of Varun's interviews and he seemed dull in all of them. There wasn't anything to hold your attention while he was onscreen.

As far as acting is concerned who knows Varun might turn out to be a better actor than Tiger. But both are still very new and Tiger hasn't even had his movie released yet so I don't think comparing them just yet would be a good idea. Maybe, after 2-3 movies we can know more about Tiger's acting capabilities.

And as far as looks are concerned, all I can say is look at SRK and AB Sr. (from his younger days). They both have "something" that gets people to the theaters so looks are important but after a while become secondary.

I agree. AB senior looked ugly in Anand n SRK was considered bad-looking until almost 2000. Another case in example is Ranveer who is not considered gud looking like Sid, Varun etc.. but has something that gets people to the theaters. Looks are definitely not enough for actors to sustain.
While in case of actresses, it might work, case in point -Katrina
