At the beginning, she wanted to be a teacher but now acting is her first love. Standing beside the Arabian Sea, Payal now dream to be like Rani Mukherjee.
Payal 's "Love Story"
Leaving behind Kolkata, she has spent only four months in Mumbai. But every noon she becomes restless while remembering about her days in Kolkata, especially of her Jadavpur University Golgapa treats. Often, while speaking about the Golgapa treats in telephone, uske muh meih pani aa jati hai.
" Really eating Golgapas with friends, has a different pleasure. After coming here, I really miss those days. " said Payal.
I Love U, movie's lead lady Payal at the moment in Mumbai is very busy in director Anurag Basu's new megaserial Love Story 's shooting. In here too, she is playing the lead role of Shruti, which is a very bubbly character.
How did u have the role?
Payal said, " Last year at October, Anurag ji came to Kolkata as one of the judges of the Anandloke's Naikar Khoje contest. I didn't participated in that contest directly. But one of my relatives informed me that Anurag ji was searching for a fresh actress for his new serial. For that Anurag ji also organized a screen test from where he selected me for casting."
She had participated in lots of dramas of her school in her childhood days. But then also she never thought of taking acting as her profession. Jadavpur University's student Payal Sarkar till doing the movie I Love U, thought to be a teacher but while doing that movie, whose most of the shooting had been done in abroad made Payal interact with lots of people all around the world. From those very moments, Payal started loving acting.
Payal's both parents work as an employee in the Indian State bank and her sister Shohel studies business management. In her family, no one before Payal tried their hands in acting, so as a result Payal also in start had to face some objections from them. But now her parents fully support her decision of making acting her profession. Though Payal has chosen acting but she cannot speak Hindi so fluently. As instructed, Payal every morning read the Hindi newspaper aloud and talk with her closed people in Hindi. "Bangla bilcul bandh", said our new star, Payal.
What is the difference between the work of Kolkata and Mumbai?
" Definitely, here in Mumbai the sense of Professionalism is on the peak.
And another difference is of budget. In Kolkata, during the shoots, thore se hi lagta tha ki, sharir thak gaya hai. But in Mumbai, in a weak, I have to shoot for 12 hours, all six days. At first it was very stressful but nowadays I am quite use to it."
First, I Love U and now Love Story, in all of your big works, the word Love is very, very much used. But in your real life do u get time for any love story. Payal said, "after working 12 hours a day I do not feel like doing love. In my leisure I feel like taking a nap"
Before hand many Bengali actress had tried their hands in Hindi acting and also had got the safalta. But from who do u really are inspired? " My dream inspiration is Rani Mukherjee, I want to be like her one day. How she is rocking the film industry nowadays had really inspired me. I also desire to meet her someday." said Payal
