I don't know how many of u watched the last episode of SRGMP, where Asha ji was explaining "falsetto" singing to one contestant and showing her how to avoid it .... From what I got, the basic difference is "khulke gaana" vs "churake gaana" .... After that explanation, I am trying to listen to every singer from that angle 😊 ...

Anyways, I felt Shifa singing that way when I watched her last 2 theatre round performances ... and I felt it was more evident when she sang with Emon "Where's the Party tonight ? " I mean Emon was so good, whereas I didn't feel she went all out .... Does anybody feel the same here ?????

I feel that she sings exactly the same way that she talks. Maybe it's because she's young and hasn't come into her adult (or real) voice yet.

Alka Yagnik made a similar comment during Lil Champs when Sanchita was singing Ruki Ruki. At the end, she felt she was singing in a false voice. Sometimes singers cannot reach the high pitch so they sing in a false voice.

Shifa sang Aaj mein upar much better cos it suited her voice. Where's the party tonight really did not. Shifa has a squeaky and high-pitched voice. I think her voice suits songs like aaj main upar. Just my opinion. 😳

BTW, who was the SRGMP contestant? I missed the episode. Was it Sarika? Just a guess. 😕

I agree with Sonya. Where is the party tonight didn't suit her voice.

What I liked about her voice is, though it sounds like fake voice, there is immense power and confidence in it. If she picks the right songs from the beginning, I think she will be a very strong contender.

How old is she btw ?

I think you are right, she is holding herself a little bit back, though she is a very good singer, she should open up a little, she is in my top 10

First of all, Hi Sonya, how are you?
Second I think, though she sang awara bhawre better, I think she was still holding, should open up a little. If she does that she is a very good singer/performer.
