He is one of the most popular men from the television industry with a huge fan following. And now, Karan Singh Grover is all set to make a full- fledged foray into films as he has been signed for director Bhushan Patel's next.
Karan will be seen in a horror flick that also stars Bipasha Basu in the lead role.
A source close to the upcoming film says this won't be his debut project in B- Town as he has done some roles in films earlier.
" Karan had planned to leave television and concentrate on films but he wasn't getting anything substantial. Bhushan's film has offered him an opportunity to make his big entry into films.
Karan has been finalised to play the main lead in Bhushan's untitled horror flick that will be produced by Kumar Mangat," says the source.
Reportedly, before Bipasha was signed for the film, Kangana Ranaut and Aditi Rao Hydari was considered to play the leading lady. " I have approached so many people and not just Karan. No one has been finalised yet. I am making a film for Kumarji, which will go on floors very soon. The story has been locked and we will come out with the announcement very soon. I can't comment on the actors because I have approached four people for four roles. I will be able to comment once they are signed and everything is on paper," says Bhushan.
Bhushan says that there's some issue with the title and hence, they are yet to decide what the film will be called. " It's my third film, which is a horror flick. I will be commencing it in the first week of June. Earlier, we wanted to shoot in Kerala but it started raining over there so we will be shooting in Mumbai first," adds Bhushan.
