Anurag K admits relnship with assistant/ Tarun M ends 9 year marriage

Anurag Kashyap admits to being in a relationship with his assistant Sabrina Khan.

It's official. Anurag Kashyap has found love again and this time the object of his affection is Sabrina Khan, the young assistant director of Bombay Velvet. The 41-yearold met the twenty-something at a party a few months ago and they instantly bonded. The duo has been seeing each other ever since.

Revealed a source, "Anurag is crazy about her and fondly calls her Sabby. They recently went on a trip to Europe and spent a few days in Paris. He seems really happy and believes that Sabby has brought stability to his life at a time when his marriage to Kalki Koechlin was on the rocks."

When Mirror met Anurag at his Andheri office he looked sunny, settled and had lost a substantial amount of weight. "I've been working out a lot and Bombay Velvet is shaping up well," he smiled.

But he has another reason to smile. Is he in love, "Yes, I am dating someone," he admits, without beating around the bush. "I'm in a really happy phase right now."

Is it because of his AD Sabrina? He nodded, "I have never camouflaged my personal life. If I'm dating someone, I won't hide it."

Anurag was earlier married to Aarti Bajaj, who has edited all his films except for the upcoming Bombay Velvet. They have a daughter, Aaliya.

After divorcing Aarti in 2009, he was in a live-in relationship with actress Kalki Koechlin, whom he married in April 2011. They mutually decided to separate in November 2013. They are not officially divorced but Kalki and Anurag have been living separately for a while now.

Asked if Kalki knows about Sabrina, he said, "Of course, she was the first person I confided in. She is happy that I am happy."

However, the filmmaker says he's not ready to take another plunge just yet. "Right now, we are just seeing each other. Let's see how far it progresses," he said.

Even though he is preoccupied with the post-production of his magnum opus Bombay Velvet, Anurag has taken time out to present a documentary, The World Before Her. Directed by Nisha Pahuja it has won awards at several international film festivals. "It's probably one of the most important films to come out of India and I'd urge everybody to see it."

Tarun Mansukhani and wife Karuna have ended their nine-year-long marriage.

Tarun Mansukhani, director of the 2008 hit Dostana, has parted ways with his wife of nine years, Karuna. The divorce by mutual consent came through on April 10, 2014. Since then, Tarun has been missing from the social circuit.

The relationship ran into choppy waters in 2011. According to a source close to the couple, their families and friends tried to counsel them and save the marriage. "But their differences had become irrevocable and the fights turned ugly. And all efforts came to nought," adds the source.

Buzz is, Tarun and Karuna have been living apart since 2012. Tarun filed for divorce on May 28, 2013 and the first hearing was in June 13. But the two managed to keep the news away from the media.

On the work front too, Tarun has been keeping a low profile. After his successful debut for Dharma Productions with Dostana, the Abhishek Bachchan-John Abraham- Priyanka Chopra love triangle with a twist, he failed to deliver on Dostana 2. The script was reworked several times over the last five years but it failed to impress producer Karan Johar.

Kootchie Kootchie Hota Hai, the animated version of KJo's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai directed by him too has failed to get a theatrical release so far. Of late Tarun is supposed to be writing the Hindi remake of the French hit Priceless for Dharma, which is likely to star Sidharth Malhotra and Anushka Sharma.
