Krishna and draupadi are my two most favourite and loved characters in mahabharat .I really don't what any article says about draupadi .I feel she is one of the most strongest women and she was far more brave intelligent than any other character in mahabharat .krishna is an exception to everyone .If krishna was preparing for war to fight against adharma then draupadi gave the final touch .I just don't understand if draupadi had an ansh or part of parvati or kali then why did she not marry the incarnation or ansh or part of shiva when all the other goddess within draupadi were married to their counterparts.that's confusing😕

Those who are born for a purpose can never be judged as fortunate or unfortunate. They just come to accomplish their work.
Draupadi was born to reduce burden of adharma on Earth. Krishna too was born to finish adharma. All who were born for the same purpose united together. Events of their lives lead them to what they were born for.
MB is full of unusual births. Their lives were not normal. Hence the pov to judge or understand them can not be the same applicable to others.

I feel draupadi is NOT what she is being portrayed as,she once said ,"Main to applogon ki seva van mein bhi rahakar kar sakti hoon"
But it is NOT true with the real case.In the van she has complained and said to Yudhishthir that she cannot forget those gold, ivory comfortable sofas ,beds and all -I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER,I will quote it if I again come across...BUT SHE WAS NOT A SAINT AT ALL,She wanted war because of her insult, and at that time she never cared about the lives of innocent people...And moreover she never knew about the fate of her sons.

I completely agree with you😊

Which character has been portrayed correctly in the serial?
None.
Kunti has been shown as too weak.
Karna is too polite.
Arjun is too powerful.
Shakuni and Duryodhan are too evil.
It' the same with Draupadi
As for the vanvaas thing, so wat she missed her ivory and gold? For someone, who has always spent time in luxury, it's quite natural. She continued to stay at vanvaas, despite that and even spent the 13th year as a Queen's maid.
And ofcourse, she was no saint. But then who was?
Was Karna a saint?
Was Arjun a saint?
No one was.
And she wanted war, for sure. And why would she not? She was molested publicly in her season, all their wealth was taken away from them...Why would she not want war?
And who cares about innocent lives while waging wars?
Did Yudithir care? Did anyone care?
Everyone had their own agenda to fight the war.
The Pandavas wanted their land back, the Kauravas wanted to prevent that, Karna wanted glory, Draupadi wanted justice...
Who cared about innocent lives?
Besides, Draupadi, in the serial, is not caring about innocent lives...She's only caring about her own sons...

But in original mahabharat she never knew anything about her sons future. Her sole purpose of her birth was to destroy evil and so that's what she was trying to do. to make the pandavas fight against adharma that was done to her and them. She was the only one to raise voice against the dyuth sabha when she was insulted and humiliated .Nobody raised their voice except for krishna .Where were these innocent lives when draupadi was being disrobed.when nobody cared about her then why would she care? And draupadi lost her entire family and her sons even then she never allowed her husbands to kill ashwattama because she understood a mother's pain . she never wanted innocent lives to die but everybody has to sacrifice for the greater good.I see nothing wrong with draupadi .She was a great and strong women of all times

interesting topic and replies. 😊
Draupadi -She is another multi layered character in Mahabharat. I think she was very real in seeking justice for herself.. I said justice..not revenge. Who knows may be she would have forgiven Duryodhan ,had he really repented his actions at VH. But he didnt.. People say that draupadi was reason for war..I think if she was the reason then why would Krishna go to HP for compromising on 5 villages and giving a chance to dury to step back...and redeem himself. I would say Draupadi was not unfortunate as she had a friend in Lord himself. She had faith and love of her 5 husbands.Yes she was let down by her husbands in VH episode but then her friend Krishna was always there to protect her honor and he didnt fail her.. Many girls arent that lucky to have that protector. I find her self respecting woman who wanted justice for wrong that happend with her.. She was fiery and proud too.. sort of virtues she carried from being born of fire..😊

I completely agree with u...
Draupadi was indeed a very strong woman...
And who thinks about others while waging wars?
Her desire for war was completely justified.
After everything that she had gone through, y would she not want justice?
