Akbar with Shri HIrviyatsuri (part 2 of Jainism). He wanted his horoscope read by his disciples, and Akbar was surprised of the Jain traditions and how relevant they were to people. For example, Jains dont walk on land with cloth on, so ants dont die and when Akbar removed the carpet, there were ants on the bottom;thus he got most of the carpets removed when Hiriviyatsuri walked.Akbar came from his throne and bowed down to him(as shown in image). As mentioned in the other post on Jainism of Akbar banning animal slaughter, he also freed birds from the cages per the saints request. Also got his horoscope read, and when the Saint died Akbar gave 100 acres of land for his funeral.
