Today's episode highlighitng Bappi Lahiri specail was pretty entertaining.
What many of us didnt know is that Bappi Lahiri's real name is Alokesh Lahiri and Bappi is actually his pet name. Whatever be it, there's no denying that he's a prolific music director who has regaled us with his brand of music, spannign over 450 films, if I am not mistaken.
For quite some time he had been away from the limelight, but we are indeed grateful to have him back among us.
The song that he shared with Ashaji at the onset of the show was the all-time hit 'Raat baki Baat Baki ...'. Both BL and AB proved that they are still in their elements as far as music is concerned and age hasnt been able to wither their extraordinary talents. And I especially love the suggestions that Ashaji metes out to the contestants -they are highly constructive.
The contestants all chose varying types of songs and it was a pleasure listening to all of them. However, it was Sikander who stole the show for his rendition of 'Inteha ho gayi ...' from the film Sharabi and Nirupama for her song 'Raat Baki ...'
Both Sikander and Nirupama have been given the clean chit to pass onto the next stage while the remaining 6 contestants, 3 each from the male and female categories, will have to slog it out again tomorrow to gain entry into the next round.
