Three years of patience and two years of yearning... It was finally paid off.
Shit! Someone please stop these tears flowing continuously from my eyes! I'm sure every Kriyaanshian must be crying, bawling, wailing! Anything but out of happiness, out of relief.
That was the most realistic yet the most beautiful confession on Indian National Television. Nobody can match that. Kunwar Amarjeet Singh and Shakti Mohan nailed it. Their acting, I can't believe it was acting.
So from the start.
When Rey's dad was telling him that story, I so knew, I so knew it was his! I was grinning like a fool!
Then came the part where Rey was driving that car, he called Swayam and was worried that he will loose Kriya. But when he said that he is going to tell his 'dil ki baat' to Kriya. Just the thought of it brought smiles on both his and my face. And when he drove, I was jumping in anticipation, screaming for him to drive faster!
Then the police scene, I laughed through the whole thing, Rey cursing himself for what he did, and then begging the police officer to let him go, and saying 'Aaj mein uss ladki ke peeche bhaagraha Hun.' I was widely grinning. And every dialogue he said in that scene. He did not object when the police officer called Kriya his girlfriend. And in the end of that scene. That determined face that he can do and will do anything get his love back, his Kriya back.
And the gumshudaa sequence. Dance, it has always connected them. And what connected them more was love. So he danced. He danced out of love! The way he asked every person standing there. About Kriya. Searching her from taxi to taxi. Stopping some people, dancing with them. For her. And when it ended. He was disheartened but he did not get less determined he screamed her name. High. So much that I wanted to go there and scream with him or take those damned ear plugs out of Kriya's ears! So that she could hear his, only his voice!
God bless that taxi driver for eternity! He was the reason why she got to know that it was somebody shouting her name outside. When she said 'kaun pagal hai yeh.' I was like hone waale pati ki eenshult! 😆
And she goes to him. She shouts his name. And he freezes. He freezes knowing he has found her. He turns, hoping he is not dreaming and when he sees her, he couldn't stop, she takes steady steps to her but he runs to her and hugs her, not caring that she is going, not caring she might not love him. But out of relief that he found her. He found her and now he could express himself to her.
She hugged him back, confused. But she did. When she pulled away, there wasn't awkwardness, like usual couples have. There was an unusual fight. She asked him to move but he was determined to tell her his feelings. So much that he agreed to drop her to the airport and knees in front of her, almost begging her to listen to him.
And then he said those words. Honestly, I wanted to kill somebody, because I felt KR confession is going very THANDA. But then, the expressions Shakti gave, I can proudly say, nobody can portray Kriya the way you do. Period!
And when she did not answer, he was disheartened but did not show it. He told her he'll take her to the airport. But when she did not move and he started pulling her. I was in awe. And I love that driver who said.
'Tum dono Laila Majnu Ka Hogaya?' And Rey getting vexed replied.
'Ruk na. Chal raha hai.' I so love you Kunwar!
And he again pulled her when she said that she'll go with him if he takes her to the ice cream parlor and not the airport. And the cute, innocent yet dumb Rey did not understand what she meant. Then she hesitantly said that she liked him. And he wanted to grab her, strangle her, I don't know what! But he was like... 'So Close!' But he was content.
Then those words came from Kriya's mouth and tears made their way out of my eyes!
I LOVE YOU REY!
It was a pure bliss to listen those words from her mouth. And that line. 'Mujhe Aapki aadat ho chuki hai Rey.' Again a dialogue to remember.
Then he went crazy just like all KRians must have... He picked her up and spin her. Whereas some of us awwed, some cried and some did both of it.
16/5/2014.
The most memorable day for KRians. This was the best episode of Dil Dostii Dance.
PS: I have officially departed for heaven. Just like every other KRian must have.
And I'm sorry I know there was a lot more missed by me. But if I start writing about everything then it will surpass the whole of Grey's Anatomy and the IF data storage won't be enough!
And I know many of you agree with me.
Hope none of you got bored. Off to see the repeat!
