Kangana Ranaut explains why doesn't feel the need to get herself a @ handle

Social networking and micro-blogging websites have changed Bollywood functions. Actors use these platforms to keep in touch with their fans, share movie-related news, clear controversies, share some gyaan and even to make big announcements -- like John recently announced his marriage. The number of fans following an actor can be a topic of debate as well as envy. Everyone from newbies to veterans have their accounts on Twitter and Facebook. But Kangana Ranaut refuses to bite the bait. Her contemporaries including Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone, and Sonam Kapoor are all connecting with their fans on Twitter. And though she has fan pages, Kangs has deliberately stayed away.

No talking to strangers
The actress refuses to join the bandwagon and get herself a Twitter handle. And she doesn't have plans of doing so anytime in the near future despite the popularity wave that she has been riding after Queen. She laughs, "I don't even talk to people who stay with me for days... communicating with strangers is beyond me. It's something that I don't understand at all." But isn't it important to make her presence felt online? "I don't think so. How does it really help anyone?" she questions.

Why so lonely?
Kangs also feels that those who post their emotions online or tweet intense, philosophical messages are often lonely. She says, "Many people tweet a lot because there's nobody to listen to them. They are talking to themselves. Many of them have a million followers, but not one person who will sit down and listen to them. I have come across tweets that say things like 'Look at the sun and the tree... and the world is such a beautiful place... and be a good person'. I feel like asking them to go talk to their parents or go see a psychiatrist."

Too much pressure
The curly-haired actress also feels that tweeting on a regular basis requires too much effort and time. She says, "Not just that, I feel that people who tweet are under so much pressure! They have to tweet some

Umm no,I tweet just for fun and basically it is timepass! Why is she generalising? I really like Kangana but sometimes reading her interviews,I just feel like rolling my eyes.

I kinda agree with her here. Descartes said, "I think, therefore I am." But in today's generation, that has changed to "I tweet, therefore I am." for a lot of people. How many of us have a thousand facebook friends or even 500 or even 200? And how many of those are your real friends?

Technology has made communication easier but has also made us more distanced than ever.

So if we talk about how beautiful nature is, it means we need a psychiatrist? 😆

Guess we all need to see a psychiatrist then because I'm sure we have all praised nature at some point. The sun and trees ARE beautiful ❤️
