WHAT IS IT WITH THE SPOILER??????????????????????????
Okay, Hi. I know I am terribly late but I wasn't active for a week and only now did I see and read the spoiler. This is strictly in reference to this article:
https://www.pinkvilla.com/tvtags/zee-tv/jodha-akbar-consummate-week
I would suggest you read this, if you have not, before you proceed.
So it is as I expected. Since the Ghangour sequence recently, I was thinking the consummation sequence and the wedding anniversary sequence will be combined. This was because Jalal and Jodha married shortly after the festival. So I am really happy.
But the latter part says, Jalal will go and save that Shehnaz's son who was in trouble, then they would know Ruqaiya is pregnant. If I were to believe this, I am disappointed. Firstly, I never liked Shehnaz. I knew CVs have introduced her character unnecessarily to drag the serial illogically. And, here comes the bane of getting that Shehnaz. Jalal goes to help her kid on his wedding day(night for GMsš¤£).
Then, comes Ruqaiya's pregnancy - another headache in itself. I did read posts about Jalal's absence for more than a month. But, a gentle reminder to all. THIS IS A TYPICAL HINDI SERIAL. So, if CVs want, they can reduce human gestation period to even 3 months, they can miraculously bring a dead person alive, suddenly turn the vamp into a goddess... anything. Basically, anything and everything is possible on Indian Television. Do not take me wrong. I too am an active part of all this. I am just stating facts. And, it is not only Jodha Akbar; in every show I have seen something like this. Yet, we all watch these shows. As it is said, if you believe it is God, if you don't, then it's nothing but stone. So, jab tak WE SEE stuff, sab chalta hai.
Both the incidents have a lot of significance.
1) The Shehnaz one will probably be connected with future revelations of her character and future irritating plotting and planning.
2) The Ruqaiya one, I find more interesting. I am taking the credit here though many would have guessed...
It is the final straw in the fight for supremacy between Khas Begum JodhaBai and Begum-e-Khas Ruqaiya Sultan. Soon enough, Jodha will be shown pregnant. And, everyone in Agra will wait to see who gives birth to the heir - Jodha or Ruqaiya. Even if both have sons, the elder one will be the heir and if one gives birth to a daughter the other one will gain immediate fame. We all know Jodha will be Mariam-uz- Zamani. But, this is just a juicy way to stretch the serial. It will be the climax to the Jodha- Ruqaiya battle that started in June, 2013.
Who will be Mariam-uz-Zamani - Jodha or Ruqaiya? Because, however loved or important a queen is, the most important one is the queen mother. I think we have to gear up for some open warfare now. Try to recollect, Ruqaiya is NOT aware that Jalal LOVES Jodha. She might have guessed but officially, openly, she doesn't. Jalal has NEVER once mentioned that he has fallen in love. A sane person would know but nitwit that Ruqaiya is, she doesn't know OR is unwilling to ACCEPT.
3) I do not need to remind you even, but EVERY single consummation on TV is only after a huge, a VERY HUGE fight. Bade Ache Lagte Hain for instance and more recently Gustakh Dil and Tumhari Pakhi. CVs feel only a good fight leads to a good consummation. This is kind of ridiculous but a fact. So, only if Jodha gets angry, Jalal will come closer... (this for your imagination... Waise main to bahut seedhi- saadhi hoon.. No aham.. ahm..)
4) So two birds, no actually, an entire flock of birds with one stone; a logical and interesting consummation after all jhagda, roothna and all, then the Shehnaz mystery, the Mariam-us-Zamani track.
Just like a beautiful rose comes with thorns, so does any interesting track have loose ends. So, a few instances to prove CVs follow nothing but TRPs and do not in the least bother about prudence and reason.
1) How does Ruqaiya get pregnant so many times? Even shows in the 21st century timeline show that after an abortion or two, even now, it is difficult to conceive. Eg: Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, if I am not wrong Jeevika could not conceive again. I am sorry if I have made any error here.
Okay, so Ruqaiya got pregnant a number of times and lost her baby every single time. The last time was an abortion. So medically, it is impossible considering the poor medical facilities and knowledge in the 17th century.
2) Now this is what struck me as odd. Jodha, who is shown as Larger Than Life in the show, having a heart even bigger than the Pacific, gets angry when Jalal leaves to help Shehnaz's son. Isn't she of a helpful nature? More in excess than is necessary. If it were Ruqaiya, then it would be understandable but Jodha getting angry because Jalal went to help someone is unimaginable even it is their anniversary.
3) Next, isn't she the one who said motherhood is the best phase of a woman's life last time when Audha Begum was pregnant? And as a very prudent and generous person, isn't it fair on her part that she give Jalal that much freedom to meet his wife and friend? Agreed, it is her Sautan and it happens to be the AHAM...AHAM NIGHT, but we have to also accept the fact that it is JODHA, the great we are talking about not anyone else.
That is it guys. This was just a post with my thoughts once I read the spoiler. Whatever CVs show, we as fans watch and love and discuss.
DISCLAIMER:
References to other shows are meant only as instances and for stressing the similarity in plots. No comparison or bashing intended. This is just what I saw and read. As I do not follow all the shows regularly, I may have faltered in places, but that is completely unintentional and not meant to disregard the shows or any other person. Also, as I have repeatedly stated I am just another crazy fan. I love Jodha Akbar the way they show it. This post is not meant to hurt the sentiments of anyone whatsoever.
