I remember asking myself the same question when i watched the episode. The fall had no meaning or maybe the editing was so bad that we missed the meaning if there was any. But i doubt they had a reason. Stupid unnecessary scene solving no purpose whatsoever.

Just to show her weak in front of Kriya...there was no need.Both are such beautiful dancers.The fall ruined such a beautiful performance 😡

This faceoff could've made a great dance for d3 since we don't often get to see girls duets, especially a tashan one like this with 2 different dance forms, but the fall ruined it.

No idea what the purpose was, cvs only damaged their own musical dance number and put both dancers efforts, especially Vrushika's, down the drain by not having a complete dance.

Of cors it was done deliberately to show that the other one was flawless and that she had gained the upper hand on Sharon in the duet...what else would they want to show, as it is, the musical as a whole made it very obvious...
