The interview is in first person.. I'l state write the direct translation:
There's no success without the passion n desire to thrive it. I started my carrier with theatre. The journey till Mumbai tv n film industry wasn't easy at all. But i always wanted to be here n the passion for it made it possible for me. My carrier has been a mixture of disappointments and opportunities. Now when i look back i see myself tasting success from a self made path and my efforts bore sweet sweet fruits. Struggle for me has never been living my life on vada pavs and sleeping on platforms..god's grace, my family never left me alone. They have always been a support. When one comes from outside the industry, its always difficult as the challenges get bigger.
How relevant is the story??
I'v been asked several times that how relevant and pertinent is the troublesome relation between BSF and the people living near border areas? I'd like to say that there have been several instances that came out but we have kept our story backdropped with Rajasthan and people have seemed to accept and relate the story well. Moreover the story, its characters, location has been developed in a way that it goes across the screen n reaches out for acceptance.
Grey is also a color.
Television has ample stories showing the lead as either white or black. Whereas in real life there are not just black or white characters. "Rudra" of Rangrasiya has been shown black initially and then the different shades of character unfolds. As we have come to know.. Rudra has interestingly different layers in its character.
This role has been written just for me.
When Saurabh Tiwari was working on the script of Rangrasiya, he felt that major Rudra Pratap Ranawat Of BSD has to be played by me. When a writer producer says this about you playing a character, there is no point of denying. Also, the characters that i have been playing in last 4-5 years were completely different from what i was being offered. After reading the script of Rangrasiya i was sure of playing it with all my heart since the story appealed to me as a trend setter and it will leave a complete different image of me in my carrier. Thankfully i have received tremendous respond as Rudra along with Sanaya Irani. The production house has given its best by choosing the actual Rajasthani locations giving a realistic edge to the plot.
