Whattay wonderful episode and a half!!⭐️⭐️ Starting from the second half of yesterday's and all of today's, it was beautiful, layered writing, good direction, and fabulous acting by both Sanaya and Ashish⭐️ How happy was Paro that Rudr thanked her, thought enough of her to enquire about her safe return! And the next moment she remembers that very soon these memories are all that she will have to remember him by...that she has promised her Bholenaath to leave Rudr forever! Heartbreaking scene! But setting her own grief aside, she goes and encourages him to work on getting his hand back in working order...tells him not to lose hope! How ironic was her asking him, her heart in her eyes...
"ghusse mein nahin, jor se pakadiye taaki mein bhaag na jaaon...aur jor se pakadiye Major Saab..kyunki aap mujhe jaane nahin dena chaahte...aaj nahin...kabhi nahin"
Rudr is defenceless in the face of such purity of emotion, such utterly simple selflessness! His overwrought why's ,,,"kyun Paro kyun" prompt her to recite a litany of universal truths..."pathar ki moorat kyun...diye mein aag kyun...duniya gol kyun...sooraj purab se kyun..."
And he breaks down to confess the pain of his life...the betrayal that has come to define him...and his inability to break free, because he has found his mother again after all these years of waiting for her...but not as he secretly hoped her to be...held forcibly away from her son by some grand villain on whom he could blame her betrayal...rather as a happily married wife of his nemesis, Thakur Tejawat..
Paro and Rudr have both suffered immensely tragic experiences in their childhood, yet both have turned out so different. Paro thinks some of herself, but most of others. She finds happiness in making other people happy, by caring for others. This outward thinking is her coping mechanism to deal with her pain. It makes her strong and resilient.
Rudr has always stood with his back to the sun. He is still the sullen, self-centered, twelve year old boy who is at war with the world. It is not that he not capable of love or of caring...he clearly loves his father, and Paro...just that he is very wary of that emotion. And somewhere deep down feels that he is not worthy of such finer feelings...because not only did his mother leave him, but before leaving she knowingly/unknowingly implied that it was his fault that she left.
It has been a while since the writers brought all these truths to the centerstage in such a compelling manner. I loved it😃
About Rudr's breakdown I will only say this...there were some instances in the past episodes where his crying appeared excessive and inordinately frequent...today was not one of them. *shakes head* 😃

Beautiful, bang on analysis! You really should make posts more often!👏

Yes- the whole scene continuing from the day before was so emotionally tugging! Just look at this man and where he has reached- where he actually wants to share his weakest points with this girl who considered him a jallad a few days back! And actually he would love to go back to the Jallad mode but just can't- the walls have cracked and there is an emotional downpour which is totally out of his control!

@ BOLD- Ditto- I've been guilty of feelink exactly like that- but NOT YESTERDAY- that was a natural progression of the build up and a turning point as others have mentioned! And there is NO other way RUDRA- the character they have shown till now would have reacted in such a situation!

@Bold: That is so true...it was as if he just could not help open up in the face of such purity of emotion and support from Paro! As you say, he has progressed so much in this relationship with her, that he is willing to share his innermost fears and pain.
Thank you much for the kind words, made my day😃

Thanks Vistaa...totally understand! There is more i want to say...but for lack of time, i am copying and pasting what i posted on MKM's thread...

It was time that Rudra opened up...whenever there is too much bottling up under pressure, it is bound to burst, whether it is water in a dam, air in a balloon or emotions in the heart...that is called a breakdown. And it doesnt look beautiful from any angle, whether it is vented out as anger, panic or frustration or misery. Crying by men is taboo in our society...that has been nailed into our brains! Even a little boy who falls down and cries...is told: You are a brave boy, arent you? Dont cry like a girl! So it is hard to accept when the stereotype is reversed!! Rudra's outburst was the right culmination of a series of events that happened for sometime now.

Then, people do switch from emotions from time to time...and Ashish was the king of expressions yesterday. What striked me as odd, was the stance Paro took when he was crying his heart out holding her hand, kneeling in front of her! Ofcourse, she sat down...came to his level, but a little more display of emotions from her side would have balanced the scene. A little touch on the cheek, a hold on the shoulder, or tear flowing down her cheeks...some sign of showing her eagerness to help him with the misery along with her display of strength. Then again, i kept analysing and came to the conclusion that maybe, she was scared that any display of sympathy from her side might interrupt his opening up this way, she wanted his dard to flow out and go away forever. But for that phone call, he would have revealed where he met his Mom. And my heart kept saying, had they not revealed Laila in the precap, we could have gone thru the same angst and fear Rudra went thru thinking the woman who came to him from Tejawat was his mom.

Ofcouse, anyone can see thru Laila's nautanki, i am happy Rudra did. Paro being Paro, has her own ways to arrive at the same results!! I am actually liking this track...i have a feeling that we are going to see a lot more closeness develop between them by the time this ends. They both know each other well enough now to anticipate each other's moves and the united front they are going to put before her tactics is exciting me! This time Rudra will be the one going with Paro's stubbornness, even when he fully knows that Laila is faking the whole thing!

P.S. If I didnt like anybody crying yesterday, it was Ankita's... didnt strike a chord with me!

That is so true. I can see why many have a problem with his frequent bouts of crying...but to me those are an integral part of just who he is...a deeply scarred man-boy who is physically very strong, but emotionally fragile and unstable.
Then, people do switch from emotions from time to time...and Ashish was the king of expressions yesterday. Yes they both know a lot about each other and have started to comprehend what makes the other tick...but the deliciousness of the story at this point is what they don't know...namely Paro's promise to Bholenaath and her impending departure; and Rudr's discovery of his mother as the wife of Thakur Tejawat. So while Paro was saying yesterday that hold my hand tight because you don't want to let me go, she was really voicing her own fantasy that despite her promise to Bholenaath, Rudr will somehow stop her from leaving and force her to stay with him.
P.S. If I didnt like anybody crying yesterday, it was Ankita's... didnt strike a chord with me! Probably because it was so fake😉😆

That was wonderfully written!! Thanks! 😃

Think I figured out what the jarring problem here is: Ankita is a good actor, but she is just not cut out for the role!

I agree! The exaggerated mannerisms come across as forced...which is surprising for Ankita is usually quite a decent performer.
