I would have much preferred they ended the show with Tanveer in jail, and the birth of Asad and zoya's twins. That would be a fitting end to all the unreal madness that happened in SM and Asad's house. But no, they had to bring the devil re-incarnated back and end it on such a ghastly, gory and upsetting note. I don't think any other show has ended their previous season on such a traumatizing note. Yes deaths happen, but an entire family wiped out in such a horrific way was like watching a very bhayanak horror movie with no hope.
However miffed I was at the ending of QH1, I decided to give QH2 a try. And although it is a continuation of the story, ( I would have again preferred a whole new beginning instread of carrying on from that disgusting end) and it is pretty morbid because you can't help see Asad and Zoya in Sanam and wonder how it would have been if they had kept them alive. It's honestly too sad to see Dilshad and just these two girls with no trace of the former large family. Not even Ayaan and co who are settled somewhere in London. I do hope we get to see their re-entry back.
The lead actress, Surbhi is doing such a wonderful job of playing a whole different character. She balances the traces of Zoya and a new personality of Sanam so well, she is actually really interesting and fun to watch. As of now, she is the reason I watch QH2.
Karanvir is an actor who is comfortable playing this role since this is how he started of with in Kahaani ghar Ghar ki and was immensely popular as the good-bad boy. I find his story also very fascinating, at least the background. His family is bogus by the looks of today's episode. I hope their scenes are minimal because I literally had to FF their part.
Tanveer's re-entry as Ahil's so called mom. One actress who makes you hate her character so much you can't even watch the whole scene. LOL. But knowing the evil inside of her, I highly doubt she has taken the blame without any ulterior motive. What I think is, she married a new rich divorcee or widower who also turns out to be an abuser. She figured by killing him she would get his money, but realized it's all on his son Ahil's name. And he would only get it when he is 18+ ( old formula of movies). She turned the situation around in such a way that Ahil thinks he shot his father, while I honestly think there is something else to it and I don't think he murdered the dad. She conveniently made him feel that he did and went to jail keeping that "reverential" mother feeling in the little boy's head who has obv grown up thinking she is his goddess. Why she would go to jail for 12 years to make him revere her is another loop holed story. But I do think this is not Tanveer's real son and she def has ulterior motives behind this so called philanthropic move. They would never show Tanveer's real son falling in love with Asad and Zoya's daughter.
I do think somehow at some point Ahil will find the real truth and know that Tanveer manipulated him to think that he had the guilt of killing his father and sending his mom to jail. And also uncover her heinous crimes of wiping out Sanam's entire family. ALl in the future though.
But, it is going to be a tedious journey till then, with Sanam and Ahil and their war and then love and then MU because of Tanveer and then finally after maybe 2 years the whole truth being out. God help, I don't know if I will last till then. but I certainly hope the makers don't botch up this story like the earlier one as I sense a little hope for redemption by finally giving a fitting end to Tanveer's character. Please makers, this time, actually make some sense. And don't delay Ahil's transformation into the actually " good" guy that he is. It's too much to keep watching these troubled damaged men act violent and disrespectful towards the leading lady until they fall head over heels in love with them and then all is fine and dandy.
Asad was never a bad guy and hence their love story was a pleasure to watch. But in this case, from day one Ahil has been a little bit of a demon to Sanam and I kinda hope he reforms soon, instead of carrying on this war too long.
