Is india really a secular country?

Our constitution states that india is a secular and a democratic country. there are no differences between the religions.

but is it really so? what are ur thoughts?

Religion remains in the background as long as politicians do not remember to use it for their own end. I think by having a constitution that does not discriminate on the basis of religion is wonderful, at least we can approach the court if it takes place. But then we have a habit of discriminating people on the basis of religion at a very personal levelit may be based on prejudices as all communities have about each other due to lack of information.
