Jodha: Shenhenshah aapke aankhon mein aansu? Kya hua shehenshah hume bataiye!

Jalal: Kuch Nahi, Jodha Begum, Kuch nahi hua hai.

Jodha got up and slolwly walked towards Jalal. She first hesitates but sits next to him. She takes her hand and places it on his. She gets a new found confidence,. This time she asks again louder...

Jodha: Shehenshah kya hua? Humne kuch galat to nahi kaha?

Jalal: Nahi Jodha Begum, nahi...Par jab hume aapki sabse zyada zaroorat thi, aap humare paas nahi the. Jab hume acchi salah ki zaroorat thi aap nahi the.

Jodha moves closer to him. She felt like breaking down. What kind of a wife was she, a wife who was not even there when her husband needed her the most. She wanted to scream, yell. But No, she could not, because she had to be there for her husband.

Jodha: Shehenshah, hum tab nahi the, par ab hum hai na. Hume batatiye, shaayad aapki takleef kam ho jayegi. Hum par vishvas kijiye shehenshah, hume bataiye ki kya hua.

Jalal: Jis par hume sabse zyada prem tha, unhi ne mujhe dhoka de diya. Jis par hum aank band karke vishwaas kar sakte, unhi ne hum par peeche se vaar kar diya. Jiske liye hum kuch bhi karne ke liye taiyaar the, unhi ne mujhe iss sadme mein daal diya Jodha Begum. Maham Anga, humari Badi Ammi, unhone hi mere is dil ko chot pahunchayi hai, hum kare bhi to kya kare?

Jodha was shocked. All of this had happened in her absence. What did Maham Anga do? She had to know, she had to help her husband in this difficult time. Jalal was in tears, he slowly came closer to her and hesitantly placed his head on her shoulder. She shuddered on his touch, she slowly spoke..

Jodha: Shehnshah unhone aisa kya kiya..jiske vajah se..aap..aap

Jalal: Unhone aapke virudh saazish rachi, unhone hum dono ko alag karne ki prayas ki. Maham Anga ko pata tha ki dilavar khan aapke bhai Sujamal the, par unhone fir hume aapke virudh uksaya, humare man mein zeher bhara, kai mughal kanoon ko thode, hume unhe saza deni padi Jodha begum, deni padi.

Jodha: Kya?? Jo bhi aapne kiya, teekh hi kiya Shehnshah. Unhone hum dono ko alag karne ki prayas ki, vo alag hai, par unhone harem mein ek aadmi ko andar aane diya, ye to galat baat hai. Aapne sahi kiya shehenshah.

Jalal: Agar humne sahi ki, to ye ajeeb sa dard kyon hai Jodha Begum? Ye ajeeb sa tanhav.

Jodha: Aap aur Maham Anga ke beech ka jo rishta tha, vo alag that shehenshah. Aur aapne us rishte ko thoda hai, to samay lagega gaav barne ke liye. Aapko ye sab baatein bhool jaana chahiye, tabhi aapko sukoon mil sakta hai.

Jalal: Par kaise bhoole Jodha Begum, kaise. Jab bhi hum bhoolne ki koshish karte hain, vo yaadein vaapas aa jate hain, aur jo takleef hume pahunchati hai, hum paagal ho jayenge.

Jodha: Aapne ye sab humse bataya hai, to ab aapki man ki bhoj toda kam to hua hoga na? Shehenshah humari bat maniye bhool jane ki koshish kijiye, agar aap ye sab bhollenge tabhi aapko sukoon milega.

Jalal: Kaise Jodha Begum,kaise? Humare Aziz hume hamesha chod dete hai, pehle Khan Baba ab badi Ammijaan, kab tak hume akela hi hona hai?

Jalal begins crying. Jodha could not take this anymore. She gently lifted his head from her shoulder. She held his head up straight; she placed her hands on either side of his face holding it up until they were eye to eye. They were so close, so close that he could feel her breath on his cheek. Jalal felt nice, he felt a little better.

Jodha: Jalal', aap Hindustan ke shehenshah hai. Aap is sultanate ke walid hai. Apne aap ko Sambhaliye Shehnshah. Aap kabhi bhi apne aapko akele mat samajhiye. Aapko khushi honi chahiye ki bhagwan ne aapko do-do ammijaan di hai. Ammijaan(Hamida) aapse behad pyar karti hai shehensah. Aur hum hai, hum aapko kabhi bhi nahi chodenge, kabhi bhi nahi. Mat royiye Shehenshah, bagvan ke liye hume aisi paristhithi mein mat daliye.

Jodha couldn't control herself, they were so close. She inched closer to his forehead and gently kissed him. He looked up to her and smiled weakly. His Jodha Begum had kissed him, that kiss had eased away all of his pain. He felt wanted he felt liked. He looked into her hazel colored doe shaped eyes, he got confidence from it. He smiled again, this time not a weak smile, but that half grin that always made Jodha's heart skip a beat. He first hesitated, but wrapped his arms around her. He gave her a tight hug, she was shy at first but she gave up her inhibitions and hugged him back tighter than ever, assuring him that all was fine.

Jalal: Hume kabhi bhi chodke mat jaiye Jodha Begum, kabhi bhi nahi.

Jodha: Nahi, shehsenshah, hum aise kabhi bhi nahi kar sakte. Hum hamesha aapke paas hi rahenge.

Jalal for the solidier he was, noticed the sudden movement behind one of the curtains next to the back entry of his hojra. He gently whispered into Jodha's ears

Jalal: Jodha Begum, hume lagta hai ki parde ke peeche koi hai. Aap hilna mat. Yahi pe rahiye.

Jodha: Shehnshah, dyan se.

Jalal gently slipped out of the embrace, and with a sudden jerk jumped and pushed aside the curtain with his sword. No one was there, Jalal was puzzled he was sure that he had seen someone, Jalal was right, there was someone who had heard this conversation and was going to use it to their advantage. However that person had gotten away.

Jalal: Jodha Begum lagta ki koi nahi hein yahan pe. Humara brahm tha.

Guard (enters): Gustakhi Muaf Shehenshah, aapne saare subhedar ko DEK mein iquata hone ki hukm di thi, ve aapke intezaar kar rahe hain shehenshah.

Jalal: Hum aa rahe hain, tum jao.

Guard leaves.

Jalal: Jodha Begum, hume jaana hai. Hum aapse milne baad mein aa jayenge.

Jodha: Nahi shehenshah rukiye, aapko bookh lag rahi thi na.

Jodha quickly takes a plate, put some food onto it and runs to Jalal. She then takes a piece of the food in her hand and...

Jodha: Shehensha, muh kholiye. Agar hum aapko khana nahi dete, to aap bhooke bhooke DEK chale jaate, chaliye pehle thoda khaana khayie.

Jalal's eye twinkled with mischief. He gave her that quirky smile of his again and went closer to her.

Jalal (innocently): Teek hai, agar aap khana de hi rahe hai, to hum kaake hi jaate hein.

Jodha feeds Jalal the food, as he keeps making fun of her. Instead of getting angry Jodha becomes red.

Jodha: Chaliye, aapne khana ka li, ab aap ja sakte hein.

Jalal: Haan Haan, hum jaa hi rahe hain. Aur Jodha Begum, aapko laga ki humne suna nahi, par jab aapne hume Jalal' bulaya to hume bahut accha laga.

Saying this Jalal leaves. Jodha Begum blushes. He had noticed that she had called him Jalal. She felt nice, if Shehnshah felt happy, she was happy too...

Precap: Rahim asks Jodha to tell a story to him. Jalal makes fun of Jodha asking her to tell a story to him also, so that he can fall asleep.
