Mr and Mrs Aditya Chopra are back in town after their hush-hush wedding in Italy. The couple hosted a wedding reception in the closed corridors of the Chopra household without letting the media get a sniff of it.
Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra returned to Mumbai last week. Rani was even spotted at the airport by some onlookers, and an image of hers is also doing the rounds of the internet. The actress has got hairbangs now, and was aglow with nuptial radiance. Wearing a red jacket with a tank top, she even looked fit. The traditional iron bangle, worn by Bengali married women, was also visible on Rani's wrist.
Apparently, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra hosted a hush-hush wedding reception on Sunday at their home. The well guarded event was attended by a few close family friends. Rani's two best friends Karan Johar and Vaibhavi Merchant were also spotted entering the venue. Surprisingly, many Bollywood celebs were not spotted outside the Chopra house, which reminds us of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's wedding that was attended only by a few from the film fraternity.
It's also heard that the security at Yash Chopra's bungalow has been beefed up. A high compound wall and white curtains have been put up to stop media from catching a glimpse of the newlyweds. It can be recalled that some images of Rani and Aditya celebrating Diwali at the compound of Chopra's bungalow were splashed in the media last year.
Thus this time, the Chopras seem more cautious. Wondering post wedding will Rani Mukerji, too, go off the radar like Aditya Chopra -- shutting himself off from any kind of media attention.
Yesterday, BizAsia reported that the newly-wed couple, Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji, had held a small reception for close friends after returning from their wedding and honeymoon in Italy. The latest news surrounding the couple is that the actress will now officially step into the role of creative director at Yash Raj Films.
"A cabin has been set up for Rani. She'll be the creative director of YRF and will share the responsibility of running the show with her husband," a source revealed to Deccan Chronicle.
While the younger Chopra scion, Uday, is currently in charge of YRF's first steps into Hollywood, Aditya Chopra has always maintained a silence with the media.
Mukerji will be seen acting in YRF's Mardaani', which is slated for release on 22nd August 2014.
