Where is that original Aastha when the series started!!

Aastha Kirlosker started as this gullible, effervescent, free-spirited, spunky girl whom I loved for all the flaws that she has. She just got lost in translation as the time passed by.

Many of us are missing the original Shlok with that attitude and who is alpha-male, but that flawed Aastha is also missing😒.

Its a pity that she being a female lead has always been hated by some or the other set of the viewers due to her characterization. She was called as bird-brained , desperate, immature & mahaan Aastha. I am guilty as charged for calling some names mentioned above and now CV's have decided to change her characterization overnight.😕

First it was before & after marriage that she chose Shlok against the will of her parents and didn't oppose the emotional abuse hurled by Shlok.

Second it was her decision to stay at Agni mansion after divorce proceeding.😔

Later it was her desperate attempts to make Shlok say ILU to her.😲

Now, most of us hate her for being Kalindi's shadow to resolve the Jyothi/Anjali issue. Fine she has become mature, is emotionally secure than Shlok but Aastha is or was no Kalindi ..she does not make calculated moves to resolve any problem like she did today!! 🤢. Its ok if she becomes reason for the changes in Agni house just like a catalyst. But may be probably with her own silly antics, like that 'madcap' Astha that Shlok loves to call her and lets all the skeletons fall one by one. 'Change is inevitable' no doubt but not at the cost of losing the charm of the character.😭

A song dedicated to that flawed but free-spirited Aastha. This girl is not completely like Aastha but certainly that free-spirited , madcap like Aastha.

Sorry if I sounded pessimistic or this looked like a negative post, but that was not the intention. Till now I have refrained myself not to post anything like this on Aastha ..but today can't help it; as I am losing hope and interest.

Shrenu is doing an awesome job as Aastha no doubt 👏.Hope CV's work on retaining characterizations with out further diluting/changing them and its been only for last few days that they started these changes on Shlok, Astha. One of those frivolous attempts to see if CV's will listen.

The problem is that in TV shows the cvs have the tendency to show the heroine mahaan & in the process they make the other characters dumb..even the male lead..
Astha being a flawed character was shown to be paying for her wrong decisions but these days they are showing that everything she does is correct..
As u said the original Astha cant make calculative move..
All EBP lovers started watching the show because of the characterisations which were shown in the beginning..a sudden U- turn makes all of us unable to connect with the show..

👏 Pakka have seen a few shows where the female lead becomes a saint who can do anything and the poor male lead suffers

Me to wish that madcap Astha was back --also who disagreed with Shlok because he was WRONG in what he was doing

Again wish Astha had left Shlok --let him realise what he lost

At this point, we can only be patient. A lot of us are upset with the way things are going but let us give it our all to mission 900 and mission pink.

Thanks to @Maya, @Devina, @Sagar, @Nimmy for replying back..I do not know if CV's will ever consider reviving the characters with their original charm..the only thing we can do right now is wait & watch like most of you said.

Jia, took these screen caps when you made this post. I had more hope to see the original Aastha then than now, but here is the Aastha I like. There may be more contexts when I liked her but I tried to capture the essence of her character, the way I understood.

She is immature and impulsive but at the same time caring and giving. She has the courage to take a stand for what she believes in but she also has the tolerance and understanding for others beliefs. She has a magical heart that can heal itself very fast even after it is repeatedly broken. She is gullible but she is capable of trusting. She can fight but she can also forgive. She lies but she is honest to self. She is capable of spreading cheer and hope in the gloomiest of hearts with a childlike enthusiasm. She is shy but bold. Sometimes she is a child but at other times she is a siren.

don't know what CV's have done to such a beautiful character in the show..that's all I can say.

they kept some characteristics of her ...but highlighting her more in the series.

Aastha can not behave the way she used to behave before her marriage, she was well protected and inexperienced girl at that time.

Now she is a married lady having responsibility towards her in laws and husband. Life has taught her a lot as we all learn from our mistake and past experience.

But still her basic character like caring , loving , understanding, self opinionated, confident side by side impulsive and childishness - are all still present in her character.

In fact original characteristics have not been changed yet.

Marriage/ motherhood/ fatherhood etc have a huge effect on human life and character.

she is not self righteous and manipulative for sure. Whenever she did whatever Anjali asked of her, she did it because she tried to understand where Anjali is coming from. She took a stand when she needed to but didn't rub her beliefs in her face all the time.

Also, spoiling shlok's character would make her look stupid because what did she find in him that she fought against all forces in the world to be with him again and again? love happens but it needs a reason to thrive. I want to believe that the only reason for her to choose to stay with shlok is because he might be an angry soul but he does care for women in his life, whether it is herself or jyothi or kavya or anjali or swathi and he cares enough to take a stand for them against his father too depending on the gravity of the situation.
