Bollywood actress molested, robbed in Delhi

She told police two people, in their early 20s, overpowered, thrashed and molested her. When she resisted, they pushed her and snatched her iPhone and purse that had at least Rs.5,000 in cash.

NEW DELHI: A Bollywood actress was thrashed, molested and robbed by two people while she was heading home in Delhi, police said Saturday.

The victim was looking for an auto-rickshaw in the Vishwas Nagar area of east Delhi on Friday night to reach her home in Anand Vihar.

She told police two people, in their early 20s, overpowered, thrashed and molested her. When she resisted, they pushed her and snatched her iPhone and purse that had at least Rs.5,000 in cash.

Police said the victim appeared in two Bollywood films and also co-produced some other movies.

A case of molestation and robbery has been registered against unknown people.

This is getting scarier...No one is safe these days.i hope they find a way to stop this...or even reduce it..it breaks my heart

what i will never understand is what's the need for men to do such thing?

Oh Gosh! That's just horrible!! Women should start carrying guns, knives and/or whatever weapons they can find (not sure if Indian law allows that) for self-defense! Most of the rapists don't even get convicted in court so it's time for women to take the law into their own hands!

I 2nd you you here..women should be armed when they stepping outside.

this is getting out of hand,and obviously no one is doing anything about it, so why wait till some stupid disgusting cheapo harasses you? better carry something and fight them..i believe if one gal shots or stabs her harasser things will be deferent.

Things could be sooo different if the police actually did their jobs properly over there. These disgusting men have no fear of the law because they know they can get away with doing so many terrible, lowlife things. Like you guys have said, women need to start protecting and arming themselves

laws r in favour of female when comes to molestation or rape charges ...victim goes for medical checkup first
