We have two pairs of Siblings I.e. RanVeera and GunDev.
This show was ( yeah was, because its no longer contains its real element) based on a concept where a brother plays a mother to his baby sister. Pre-leap this concept has been fully justified and viewers appreciated the same.
But since the leap has happened things have changed. CVs failed to picture the same bond which Bhavesh - Harshita potrayed effortlessly with Shivin - Di. Their scenes have repetitive which made them stale.
Veera interfering in Ranvi's life, Their hugs, their talks all seemed repetitive. Hence RanVeera aren't appealing anymore.
On the other hand , we have GunDev. There were few scenes of them and viewers liked them and few of them likes GunDev more than RanVeera. GunDev potrays the relation most us share with our siblings in real life.
But here lies the difference.
1. Pre - leap, Veera was baby and her veer used to take care of every little thing. Pre - leap it was Ranvi who did things for Veera's happiness.
Whereas post leap they r showing how Veera haven't forgotten her family despite of studying in a big city. She compromised on her dreams. And later she worked hard to get back her brothers happiness.
2. GunDev... Well here, its only Baldev who did things for Gunjan nd her happiness. He is aware about his mother's behavior towards Gunjan but he never judged her from others perspective. He has been shown a caring brother when he warned Gunjan not to participate in shooting. He wasnt ready for RanJan marriage as he knew his sister wasn't happy with the decision.
Later he tried to put sense in Gunjan to accept the relation with Ranvi. And recently we saw he teamed up with Ratan nd Veera to make a patch up between RanJan.
So the difference is -
In RanVeera's bond its give and take that too out of love and respect. They struggle with things to make each other happy.
Whereas in GunDev, its always Baldev who fought for his sister's happiness. Gunjan never showed any consideration and appreciation for his efforts. Yesterday, all were praising her brother but she was in considerate and self absorbed.
On Monday, Balwant will ask Ranvi to participate in election and they showed Gunjan happy hearing it. I understand her happiness being a wife...
But being a sister and aware about Baldev's dream to become next sarpanch I expected her to speak up to their father about Baldev. But I dont think she will do anything like that.
For me to like GunDev, it should be 2 way. Till date I haven't seen Gunjan supporting Baldev or anything. I agree, she didn't get chance but let's see if she even speak regarding this to her father. Being a little sister , it doesn't mean one will always be at receiving end to get all benefits, love, care and affection... As Gunjan is no more a Baby. She should show something towards others as well other than Ranvi.
