Another Anandi

In every one of us ... in most of the women in the society ...there are traces ofAnandi. Bravery , conscience ...a sort of moral sense of right and wrong that acts as a guiding force to one's behaviour ...a sense of social responsibility prevails in all of us !

Since a few decades ...the standard of moral values in the society are deteriorating and getting downgraded because of political bigwigs and highly placed people ! That is one aspect ...the other and more important one is ... the raising of the ugly head of religious fundamentalism and blind faith in archival traditions.

Also, in the implementation of social norms there is a visible disparity between males and females ! I wish today's real life Anandis draw more power and strength from their inner self rather than support from outside world ! Dedication and determination to safeguard the girl child are the need of the hour ! But to make a difference, one has to muster courage and intervene in an appropriate manner at an opportune time .
