Qubool Hai| Kanranvir Bohra - Facets Of A Diamond!

Karanvir Bohra is a man who may seem like a rough stone when you first meet him. Little does one realise that he is a many faceted diamond that shines when the light falls on him. We had seen him in couple of series (off and on), where he played characters that were more grey than pristine white of a hero. Some would say anti-hero.

Well, when he was roped in to play Aahil Razaa Ibrahim, we read many comments that said, "Why have you taken him of all people?" However, we always and repeat always believe that Gul Khan knows her characters too well to not know whom to cast. She has innate talent for choosing the right man for her hero. After all, she has devised these characters and who would give them the life she wants them, is best known to her. Be it Gurmeet Choudhary for Maan Singh Khurana or Barun Sobti for ASR or Karan Singh Grover for Asad Ahmed Khan, she creates magic.

And so we believe is the case with Karanvir Bohra (Yes, we all call him KV).

The facets that we have seen so far and yes, we are sure we shall see many more during the show are of a person who is comfortable in his own skin. Not wary of removing his shirt (being comfortable in front of the camera isn't easy). Whether it is to drive a car at certain speed then stop it or jump in a pool not deep enough for a dive, he does it all with ease. The car he had to drive during the dupatta moment for some reason (actually the lights had been left on for too long without the car running), had perhaps drained the car's battery and we had to push start it. He did it himself. Realise this that putting the car in second gear when pushed and getting it started isn't something that everyone can do (the car supplier's man could not do it). It takes an accomplished driver to do this.

The dive in the pool which is shallow, also takes certain amount of skill and he did it with finesse.

Now, all these are part of being an actor, skill we believe an actor should ideally have. However, we saw other facets of him. Keeping calm when his car was rammed in by Shahrukh Khan's vanity van is something that tells about a person's nature.

Besides this, he loves music. And no, we don't believe that is acquired due to his wife TJ Siddhu (who is an RJ on Radioone). We call in him our in-house DJ, as he puts on songs required for the mood of the shoot. Moreover, during breaks and in-between shoot, he has a bluetooth speaker that he connects with his phone and plays songs we request. George Michael is our common choice. Then of course, there is his mother's energy bar, the corn on the cob he shares with us.

These are just some of the facets we have discovered and we are sure, we will find more to him as we traverse along the journey with the team of Qubool Hai.
