Neo Sports to telecast India-Bangladesh series
Monday May 7, 03:46 PM

Mumbai, May 7 (IANS) Neo Sports Monday announced it will telecast live India's 23-day cricket tour of Bangladesh, starting Thursday.

This will be India's first cricket series after the World Cup debacle. They will play three One Day International and two Test matches. The limited over matches will be played on May 10, 12 and 15 while the Test matches begin May 18 and 25.

The live cricket coverage on the channel will include a pre, mid and post-match show 'Extra Cover' targeting the young viewers.

Young cricketers Rohan Gavaskar and Hrishikesh Kanitkar would make their maiden appearance in the show.

Neo Sports has also signed two known TV anchors Archana Vijaya and Neha Sareen for 'Extra Cover'.

Shashi Kalathil, CEO of India's first cricket TV channel, Neo Sports Broadcast said: 'This (India's tour to Bangladesh) is now seen as a fresh start for Team India and in the backdrop of the World Cup result, the Bangladesh tour is also being billed as a revenge series of sorts, resulting in heightened interest.'

Led by skipper Rahul Dravid Indian cricket has landed in Dhaka Monday.
