Ranveer Singh Disappoints In The Condom Commercial - Page 3

I think the commercial garnered enough attention and conveyed the message of safe sex. So how can Ranveer Singh be disappointing there? When does promoting a product sound like a gimmick when every other celebrities endorse products for money or limelight? Were they expecting some serious documentary on it kya 😳? I think there is too much of scrutiny by detractors just to pull someone down.

The fourth episode of Koffee With Karan Season 4 had the over energetic Ranveer Singh and his latest Gunday co-star buddy Arjun Kapoor.

The first one to walk in the show was Ranveer Kapoor who over did himself by being very flamboyant but then what's new about this. From the way he made his entry, to the way he kissedKaran Johar was an act he was desperately tying to put on. When asked about his so called "Good Friend" Deepika Padukone, all he said was that she is a "Very Special Person" in his life. Wow that's really original. Couple of minutes into the show one could make out that the conversation was going nowhere and Karan Johar had no other option but to call Arjun Kapoor.

Arjun Kapoor on the other hand walked in with a lot of panache and post his entry the show took off a bit. One could see that Arjun was at ease with the volley of questions that were thrown on to him and how Ranveer was desperately trying to make his presence felt through out the show.

Both the boys spoke about how they got their first break and their journey so far, something that did make an interesting viewing. Both persisted on calling each other Baba throughout the show and projected a kind of boy bonding between them.

Now this is what everyone saw, everyone wrote and everyone made fun off. What nobody saw is this:

Ranveer Singh has had it very easy in his life. From his first film Band Baaja Baaraat to his latestGoliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Ranveer has got things very easy. He has had an easy run so far, both professionally as well as personally. Somewhere he has always made headlines with the link-up's that he has had. All in all Ranveer Singh came across as someone who is frivolous and lacks depth.

Coming to Arjun Kapoor, one must say that inspite of a string lineage that he comes from, life has not been easy for the boy. From deal with his OVER SIZED BODY' to his personal crises at home the young lad has seen it all.

With the amount of maturity he conducted himself when asked about his father Boney Kapoor's second wife Sri Devi to talking about his mother Mona Kapoor and her battle with cancer, the boy came across well grounded and someone who has a lot of pent-up sadness in him. That's besides the point that the actor in him could garb is well, but then the sadness in his eyes showed it all.

At the end of it my heart went out only for Arjun Kapoor and I hope and pray that he gets all the joy and happiness that he truly deserves.
