Update: 19th May 07 Star Voice of India

Hello everyone...... here is your friend Abhi at ur service....😳

Lets see what happened on show on 18th May in brief..... The show is conducted in Kolkata. Out of the auditions 16 contestants are selected who would be performing in front of the four judges and some will be selected to go to Mumbai. 8 contestants performed yesterday and 4 of them, two guys and two girls are selected while the challenge is over for other four. and other 8 voices will be singing today. So whether we will get the voice that will be ultimately Voice of India.... that we have to wait and see.... but for now lets enjoy the show together....😊

The Show started with showing some clips on auditions before selection of 16 participants and saying that 4 contestants were selected in yesterday episode and rest 8 will perform today....

then comes the main part of the show, Shaan gave teh performance of the biggest hit last year that won him award too... Chand Sifarish jo karta hamari deta wo tumko bata.... while chand will also do shifarish of this singer, we the audience cant live without saying so nice things for him👏👏👏........

After the initial performace starts the first audition song for today.....

Ankush Chakravarty: He sings "Halka halka sa yeh nasha"

He sang okk but gave a lot of force on words which was nt required.... overall an average performance as per my opinion😊

Abhijeet: Copy jyada nazar aayi and i would cut marks if its only copy

Adesh: Well done, keep it up

Lalit: Accha gaya, sur idhar udhar jaa raha tha

Alka: Trying to keep bounce, kuch jyada ho gaya

After the break they showed the clips of few singers from auditions and they were really funny. 😆 so shaan says that we will let you hear only the selected voices which are nice.... 😆

Second contestant: Upasana: She does nt have her dad, who had dream for her to go in music industry. She said that she sings old songs well but she sang the new song from Don😕

"Aaj ki raat".......

truly speaking the performance was okk but she cd nt bring what the song wanted the performance and force high voice and all.....

Abhijeet: Star Voice of India main nahi aana chahiye tha😆

Adesh: okkk.............

Alka: Average performance......

third contestant: Nandkishore: he showed off a lot before start and has dropped year in education....

He sang " Parda hain Parda"

his surs were flying here and there😆...... he should be included in that funny voices yaar......😆

Abhijeet stopped him in between did not let him complete too....... he said that they dont have time as he extended the song........Nandkishore said to please listen as he has come through so many difficulties......

Abhijeet: Dikkatein hain to Hospital jao yaar yaha mat aao😆....... dikkatein kisko nahi hain...... we never got a platform and took 10 years to sing the song to MD......Please dont make it a laughter show😆

Alka: Taiyari hi nahin hain

then they showed him crying and saying to goddess that he would leave singing..... he had brought the picture of goddess and wore the mataji ki odhani😃

Fourth Contestant: Shweta Mishra

She sang "Yeh Mera Dil Pyar ka deewana"

The performance was flat😆 even sunidhi could not sing it and this girl chose it for auditions😕

All the judges say : Bas bahot kaccha hain😆

Fifth Contestant: Rohit Sonal

He is the first promising singer i heard today👏...... he sang "Firta Rahu Darbadar".... if u compare this to the song by Yogendra Pathak of C 2007, you will know why he was eliminated.... Rohit has superb voice and brings emotions well...... the most important thing was that he did not shout for Tanhaiyan and still got that note👏

Alka: Depth hain singing me... sang really well

Abhijeet: You have changed the environment, Harte team ko tum ne jita diya...... he seems to be too much in cricket because India lost😆

Lalit: Very nice, after the bad performances u made us happy

Shayantani: "Hallare hallare hallare" I am not sure of lyrics😳

She sang well but i felt that i cd nt hear her well in the music.... otherwise in surs and all she was okk.... i felt she was average😕 did not enjoy it much.....😕

Abhijeet: Koshish kar raha tha ke kami dhoondhu.... so just in the first sargam ur later SA was displaced

Alka: She is really promising and has high potential

Aadesh: Bahot accha gaya keep it up

After the break they shown AV of sone regional language singers in sadhu's clothes......😆

Seventh Contestant: Randeep "Maula mere maula mere maula mere maula mere".... its the first slow number i heard during auditions in C 2007 and this👏 he sang well.....

Abhijeet: Very good

Alka: Aapki taiyari acchi hain, lekin on the whole not impressed

Aadesh: I liked your get up😆

Lalit: Kahin kahin accha gaya aur kahin chala gaya

and the last performance today

Eighth contestant: Chanchal Roy: He sang "Pretty woman" from kal ho na ho.... he was very ordinary, cant pronounce the words properly....😕

Abhijeet: Aapka naam chanchal hain, lekin is gaane main jo chanchalta hain wo missing thi

Alka: not impressed at all

Aadesh: You could not impress me

Lalit: This is not the Voice of India

Todays performances were average and below average with one Rohit standing better chance.... then they asked certain guests including an astrologer and a Pan seller about their opinion on contestants, known as jury....😆

And then comes the final stage of selection:

While shaan said that there is one more round they will have to clear, whosoever goes ahead but surely the once selected will move to Mumbai.

So initially the equation was

In selected: Shayantani, Rohit

Out: all others were told as eliminated. However Randeep said that he would like to sing two lines before leaving the stage about his life's principal. and he sang few lines. then judges said that there is a tie in Ankush and Randeep, So Ankush was given a chance to sing. But finally Randeep is selected.

Also Arpita from yesterday episode has been eliminated. So finally 6 contestants are going to Mumbai and they are

Prantik Sur, Tanushree Datta, Ravi Shukla, Shayantani, Rohit Sonal and Randeep.........

I think they dont have a set formula to select this many contestants from a zone, they are going by singing ability and selecting the once who are above average, so we should be getting better singers in future.😃

yes but its initial auditions...... the selected contestants are above average, especially rohit, he has nice voice and does nt shout on high notes.... 😊

Thanks for the updates Abhi.🤗 So Anu watched it too........ we will get it tonight. I can't decide between the two shows which I like!😆 So I will keep watching both .....😛 Somehow Shaan seemed misplaced last night....... but that is because we are used to seeing him on SRGMP.

ohh thanks dear🤗...... Shaan was nt misplaced, his dialogues were changed na, instead of Zee he has to call Star, Instead of Saregamapa, he had to call voice of India😆....... u have choice to watch both so why u have to decide😆........ let the people in india suffer that trauma😆

Oye.......😆 But it feels like Shaan has been moved from some colossium to a small arena........ but loved the way he was smiling in his normal way. Yeah, why should I choose eh?😉 😆 Got the best of both the worlds thanks to ATN....... for now anyways.

they have not shown the studio yet..... who knows star has made even better studio😳
