Konkona, who is in town today, was so scared of dancing with Madhuri Dixit in Aaja Nachle that she almost ran away from the sets

Konkona Sen Sharma is seldom afraid of anything. But when the actor heard that she had to dance with the nimble-footed Madhuri Dixit in Aaja Nachle, she nearly ran away from the sets. Says Konkona, "It was scary. Sharing screen space with Madhuri didn't make me that nervous. I knew I could manage to hold my own in the acting department. But one has to be totally crazy to even attempt to match dance steps with Madhuri. Fortunately, our choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant gave me steps that didn't make me look foolish before Madhuri. And thankfully, the film requires Madhuri to dance much better than the rest of us in the cast." Konkona is currently delighting in the good reviews of Metro. Says Konkona, "I just loved meeting Anurag Basu for the narrations. He kept getting all the characters' names confused. It was hilarious but I liked his honesty, passion…and maturity." Talking about the reactions she received after the release of Metro, she says, "People are so pleased to see my chemistry with Irrfan in the film. Irrfan also has a guest appearance in Aaja Nachle." At the moment Konkona is like a child in a candy store, picking up the most yummy roles in Bollywood. She says, "A lot of what comes my way doesn't inspire me. But yes, Aaja Nachle is special. Madhuri Dixit is amazing! We often hang around together, when we are not shooting."
