If I were in place of Anandi - I would have asked whether Jagya misbehaved with any girl/woman in the Jaitsar? Whether people think twice before sending their women for treatment because Jagya is the doctor? etc. etc. The answer is no. Jagya may have had three marriages and one failed engagement - but he never was a threat to ijjat of any bahu-beti. Contrast it with Heth Singh and his son's behaviour and then the people will themselves see the reason.

Helping ganga was done in the initial stages as a service for women but then it became a love story.and then marriage. If ganga remained unmarried and still was working as a nurse in the hospital, then her words would have sounded as general than particular. Now she has become his wife and wife speaking in defence of her husband will not gell as now it is happening in the real world of Indian politics.
