Telly TadkaTop 5 Scenes Of The Last Week: Jodha Akbar (Zee TV)

Wow what an interesting twist of events one got to see this week on Zee TV's Jodha Akbar. Amazing!!! While the entire week paved way for some really interesting drama, the scene that made it to the TOP 5 this week is the one where Jalal is protected by the coin that Jodha gifts him.

It starts with Menavati giving Jodha a necklace and asking her to wear in the Gangaur puja, as it was a blessing from Maa Gauri. While the necklace is handed over to Jodha it falls down and breaks alarming Jodha about the wellbeing of her husband.

I am sure our readers know what the connection is here and for those who do not know here it is - Gangaur is a festival where Maa Gauri (Lord Shiva's consort) is worshiped and married women observe this for the welfare, health and long life of their husbands and happy married life. So the breaking of the necklace was symbolic of Jalal's life being in trouble which is what we get to see in the scene that follows where Abul Mali attacks Jalal with his soldier.

aWhat saves Jalal from death is the small coin that Jodha had given Jalal. This was symbolic of two things that at times even the smallest of things can help you, save you and also it also reaffirms what the Parrot astrologer said, that Jodha was Jalal's shield, who would protect him from every attack that came his way and here though Jodha was not physically present with Jalal a souvenir gifted by her saves him. On the other hand we also see Jodha successfully fix the necklace.

Like you can see the scene was simple, there was nothing out of the box about it but what made it worth mentioning and applauding is the way, something this simple was visualized and executed. Like they say Simple is beautiful'.
