Q. Which position is the Punjabi film industry in compared with other languages is it bigger than Telugu or Benagai?
Ans. Its not bigger than Telegu but bigger than Bengali. The overseas factor means that a blockbuster Punjabi film will be behind Hindi, Tamil and Telugu blockbuster only as far as Worldwide box office collections are concerned. If just Domestic figures are counted then Kannada and Malayalam come into the picture also.

Q. Which film will gross more Happy New Year or Kick?
Ans. That is impossible to call at the moment as it all depends on content. Kick has a more favourable period but depends how the holidays fall for it.

Q. There are rumours that films like Yaadon Ki Baraat and Qurbani are being made but cane their success be repeated as they were huge in their time?
Ans. Yaadon Ki Baraat can be made as it only had one superstar but a Qurbani today will need two superstars which is not really viable as the cast cost goes to 100 crore plus and then big money has to spent to match the originial which had a big budget for its time. So to make a Qurbani which has chances the cost is 225 crore plus which is a huge risk..

Q. Why are such names as Revolver Rani and Bullet Raja used for films when these are the sort of names South Indian films had 30 or 40 years ago?
Ans. The makers of these films probably think that these names have mass appeal and Rowdy Rathore worked but that film had a big star so you can get away with it. its not understood that these sort of names don't work with multiplex audiences and even Rowdy Rathore worked mainly on strength of single screens but Bullet Raja or Revolver Rani does not have the cast to give it a chance in single screens.
