he is a human first before a emperor...he just got to know the shocked truth of his life...how his own loved one has broken his trust...he got the reality check of his precious loved one...of course he will bound to break down and cry...

there is no rule stated in history that emperor cannot cry...

even the real akbar cried though its not state in any history facts...he did cried knowing his loved ones hatched conspiracies to kill him...dethrone him...

whether its common man or emperor...millionaire...they are human with emotions...when loved ones breaks their heart...trust and faith...tears flows down automatically

neither i had problems when jallu cried for jodha...nor now when he got his reality check abt MA...he showed human emotions rather than emperor...how it feels when his wife distance herself from him...whom he loves so much...how it feels when he got to know how his loved ones plot and plan to kill him...cheat him...dethrone him...

the man who claims himself has ruthless.cruel...arrogant...angry young man...where love...trust...relationships are nothing for him...its beautifully shown that the man...the emperor does possess a heart which cries...which love...

I agree with you Mages ... very well retorted. Ekta had told this initially itself, its about the human being Akbar and his personal relationships which was being explored in this show.

But, making him cry more than necessary for TRP sake is what am unable to accept, but, I completely agree that Boys / Men do cry in privacy and should cry too.
