No matter which airport in India you are in, there are some very common types of peopleyou will always encounter - whether you like it or not. And if you actually took time to think about it, they can easily be categorized into 12 types. So here you are, happily going through the motions of collecting your boarding ticket.

1. Saccharine Sweethearts
These are usually couples who have just got married and are heading for theirhoneymoon. Sickly sweet voices, calling each other by even more sickly pet names, roaming around, pissing you off, saying things like

2. The Khichdi' Prototype
When an entire Indian family decides to fly together, it is like travelling with the circus!Kids running around, grandma insisting on clicking pictures, father yelling at the kids and a grandpa that goes missing every five minutes.
3. Hotshot Jetsetter
These guys are always dressed impeccably in business suits, looking dead serious and sounding even more important as they whip out their laptops to work on their really important projects.
4. Airport Virgins
Probably flying for the first time, these people have no clue what's going on around them. If only they took a look at the numerous signs hanging everywhere...
5. The Fashionistas
Maybe they are going directly to a fashion event from the airport, but they come dressed as if the domestic airport just turned into the ramp for the Forever 21 2014 Spring Summer collection.

6. The Nervous Aunty
She's probably flying solo for the first time, and it shows in how she will keep poking you (sitting on the next chair), asking you the most inane of questions already being answered on loudspeaker, like

In the end, you feel like replying like Loki just so to scare her enough to get her to shut up!
7. The Gizmo Guy
This pretentious douchebag has got his notebook, his iPad AND his Samsung Galaxy S5 - taking up half the space at the recharge station and looking swag as Clint Eastwood in the Westerns. Little does he know...
8. The One Kid Who Ruins It All
Probably part of category #2, this one will be running around, throwing tantrums and basically annoying the living hell out of you. Note: if it is your bad day, the same kid will be sitting behind you in the flight, kicking your seat till you feel like this.
9. At Least One Person Who Has Not Figured Out How To Get On An Escalator
At one level, it is probably one of the greatest inventions - moving stairs! At another level - whoops! As long as you are not in the two-feet-radius when disaster strikes, it can be pretty funny.
10. The Greedy Hog
Wait at the lounge for the boarding call? Bitch, please! This guy would rather be having his fill at the ridiculously overpriced eateries. And then some more. And then, the food served on the plane.
11. The One Who Comes With A Lot Of Baggage. Literally.
With two huge strolleys, one duffel bag and a couple of small bags, you wonder if this person is a one-man Mover and Packer. On one hand, you hope you do not have to share overhead luggage space with this guy, and on the other, you wonder how much they will be paying in excess luggage.
12. The Heartbreaker
An idle mind is the devil's workshop. Sitting idly at the airport, sometimes you run across this 12th kind of annoying person - the beautiful stranger who you totally fall for right then and there. Why are they annoying? Obviously because they are unaware of the romantic pictures you are painting inside your head.
Which leaves you like this, as the boarding is announced and you have to leave.
