Chapter 1
Walking down the corridor of FITE, she remembered all those times she spent here. Her first step in college for checking her results, the blast, YSA scholarship, her selection into dream team, the village task, making her dad's design. She walked aimlessly remembering all the moments. Suddenly she bagged into randhir. She closed her eyes not wanting to fall. He held her tight by her waist and she held him by his collar. Slowly she opened her eyes to his beautiful black orbs. She was so lost in those eyes. She did not hesitate this time; she was searching answers for some unknown questions. She felt safe in his arms. She just wanted to hug him and pour her heart out to him. But no, she couldn't be weak in front of him. She left him, mouthed a soft sorry and walked away lost.
Randhir's point of view
Yet again she crossed my way, but this time was different, she did not taunt or argue with him, instead she just stood staring into him. Her eyes were different today; she wanted to talk to me but why?? Something is wrong this is not his farzi... His!!??? What's wrong with me? Why am I thinking so much about her? Let her go to hell. Who cares?
End of p.o.v
He walked away with emptiness in his heart. Randhir always felt something when she was near him. Most of the times it was hate, anger and sarcasm but this time was different. He felt a tinge of emptiness. He could read that in her eyes, he could see something was disturbing her. What was it??
Sanyukta walked into her dorm and sat on her study. She remembered her conversation with her brother.
*Flashback*
S-hello bhai, kya hua itni raat ko phone kiya.
A- Sanyukta jitni jaldi ho sake ghar aaja. Yaha ek emergency aagayi and yaha teri zaroorat hai.
(sanyu gets tensed)
S- Kya hua bhai , sab theek to haina maa papa ?/ papa ki tabyat to theek haina.
A- Jitna kaha hai utna kar. Kal subah ki pehli bus se ghar wapas ajaa.
(and cuts the phone)
S- hello bhai .. meri baat toh suno... hello hello..
*Flashback ends*
Sanyukta's point of view
What must have happened at home? Why did bhai call me home so urgently? I hope papa is fine. He gets angry so easily, obviously that will affect his health. I think I should call maa. No, she will be with dad I don't think she will answer my call. I need to leave for home tomorrow morning.
End of p.o.v
She looked at her friend sleeping peacefully. Fresh tears brimmed her eyes. She started writing a letter to her best friend kaustuki. She knew she couldn't say it to her directly. She would be bombarded with questions from her. She wouldn't be able to answer them. She felt writing it down would do the job. Sanyukta left the letter on kautuski's study. she had to catch the first bus at 6:30 next morning. She didn't want to face anybody the next day, hence decided to leave early. She packed her stuff quietly and went to sleep.
Next Morning @ FITE.
It was a week left for all the students to go on a vacation. Classes hardly went on. Even the professors were in a holiday mood. The sun shone into the girls' hostel. Kaustuki lazily got up from the bed. She turned around and was surprised to not to find sanyu, her only female friend in FITE. She looked at the clock; it was 7:30 am. She wondered where she went so early. Thinking she must have gone to the library. She started to get ready completely unaware of what was to come. She met jiggi and parth on her way to class. They wished each other morning and proceeded to the most boring class of PKC.
Parth asked kaustuki about sanyukta's whereabouts. Kaustuki told him that she didn't see her since morning, maybe she must be in library. Later in the day, it was past noon sanyukta hadn't attended any classes since morning, kaustuki felt something unusual. Sanyukta had never done anything like that before. Her thoughts broke as jiggi called her out to canteen. She smiled sadly and started walking towards the canteen.
