Chapter 23 :
After two months. Addu grew up a little, he was of 6 months. And he started eating other baby foods. In last two months he recognized everything inside their house, got used to his mom-dad's banters, learnt many new words (though most of them were still difficult to pronounce) and new things. He learnt to grab, pick, bite and clutch. Moreover, trying new mischieves and exploring every new thing is his daily routine now. Though, Addu didn't disturb Roshni in office, she had to face problem to handle her son's curiosity.
Arjun also took him to ETF some days, that too after continuous nagging from his teammates and chief, though Roshni wasn't ready first, but all convinced her and she agreed.

On a fine Sunday morning, Roshni kept sleeping Addu properly on bed, and put a small pillow on his belly. This boy is too much fickle nowadays. he changes his position in every two minutes. Whole night Arjun and she have to be conscious about his movement, specially Arjun, that boy loves to climb on his father. She tried to put Addu into his cot, but he didn't liked it and started screaming, so they had to keep him with them, in the bed.
Roshni moved to the kitchen to help Kamla kaki, nudging Arjun to wake up. Arjun got up, kissed his son and went for his jogging.
After he returned, he saw Addu was playing with Roshni, who was feeding him. Addu was playing with Roshni's bangles, and was making happy sounds, while Roshni putting spoonful foods into his mouth in between his talks.
Arjun : Arre,mera beta utth gaya!!
Roshni : Haan, aur breakfast vi karr lia...lekin papa toh avi tak nahaya nahi!!
Addu looked at his dad and offered a winner's smile, clapping his hands.
Arjun : Haan...haan...mere baap, papa haar gaya...
Arjun patted Addu's head and moved to bathroom.
After breakfast, Arjun was playing with Addu when Shree came to see Arjun. He joined them and Arjun started discussing about Sam's wedding preparations which would be in next week.
Addu was bored with the so called important talks and tried to found something interesting. So he started crawling towards the end of the bed, through Arjun's lap. He successfully land on floor and saw Shree's Shoe lace, lying idly on Shree's foot. That thing attracted him and he tried to catch it.
Shree felt some soft thing on his foot and saw Addu was fiddling with his shoe-lace. He caught Addu and picked him up.
Shree : yeh kya? Aapko mere shoe pasand aaya?
Addu was wriggling into Shree's arms, trying to go back to the floor.
Arjun : Shree, shoes nikalke bahar rack pe rakh do...nahin toh yeh phir neeche jaake shuru ho jayega...& you know..harr cheez chabake taste kiye bina inko chain nahi aata..
Arjun took Addu from Shree & Shree went out to put his shoes off.
Addu was still wriggling to get down, Arjun tried to stop him by holding him into his lap, luring him with his toys, but Addu was a tough customer to manage. He whined to climb down and Arjun had to loosen his grip. Addu again slipped down through Arjun's leg, sat straight on the floor and showed Arjun a gummy grin.
Arjun : (Sighed) tu neeche kya karga??
Addu looked at Arjun's feet. Dad was wearing a slipper, so there was no lace, and Shree mamu just came bake bare footed. He sat up on the bed, bending his legs.
Addu moved to his Dad's leg hanging from the side of the bed. He sat on Arjun's foot and hugged his leg tightly.
Shree : Sir, yeh Addu kya karr raha hain?
Arjun started waving his leg sideways...& Addu chuckled, happily.
Arjun : Isko khelna hain. Jabse chzonko jakarna seekha hain, yehi iska favourite game hain... pairon main baith ke jhoola jhoolna. Anyway's Shree, we are talking about Aisha's family...they've arrived na?
Shree : Haan sir. Maine kal hi sab set karke aaya... kuch relatives aana baaki hain...all will arrive in this week. then preparations will be start from next week. Saakshi & Riya will join their side. Sir, Rathod sir ke ghar..
Arjun : Don't worry about Rathod, uski ghar pe ek se barker ek diggaj hain...sab bigarke chorega...tum catering dekh lo..& decoration...
Shree : Woh toh Roshni di aur Liza...
Arjun : thik hain..toh chotu se bolo gusts & baaki dekh le...& report me if anything happens. Kal office ke baad chalenge, uncle se pura plan final kar lenge..thik hain?
Shree : Jee sir.
This time Addu yawned. And Arjun took him up.
Arjun : Ho gaya! Aab rest karo...mumma aati hogi.
He put aduu on his lap and resumed his discussion with Shree.
When Roshni came to join them, she found Aduu was sitting straight between two discussing men and attentively chewing Shree's laptop bag's strap.
Roshni : Arre!! Yeh kya karr raha hain.
Shree & Arjun looked at Addu, busy with Shree's bag.
Arjun : arre, yeh toh so gaya tha...
Roshni placed the tray aside and took Addu into her lap.
Roshni : Yeh kya ho raha tha, Addu?
Addu offered her a gummy grin.
Roshni took Addu away and came back with a milk bottle, feeding Addu milk. She sat at a corner of the bed and joined the discussion of marriage preparation of Sam.
In no time, Addu finished his milk, and threw the bottle aside. Now his gaze was fixed on the bowl in Shree's hand. He crawled to Shree, who was eating Kheer.
Shree : Roshni Di...this kheer is delicious!
Arjun : Roshni...isko ek baar aur serve karo...
Shree : arre nahi..main Chotu thori hoon!
By then Addu reached Shree and grabbed his hand holding the bowl. He's curious to see what was inside. Shree smiled at him and picked up a spoonful kheer. He offered it Addu.
Shree : try karoge?
Addu looked at the white porridge like thing and sniffed. He thought "Looks familiar...if elders are eating this..and praising mom for it...then it must be good". He opened his mouth and swallowed the content on the spoon. He felt the soft thing inside his mouth, little soft blots of sweet soft things moving on his tongue. He gulped the thing. It tastes good! He again looked at Shree for another bite.
Shree : Di!! He liked it! ( he fed Addu another spoonful one).
Within no time Shree & Arjun fed Addu the whole contents of their bowl.

Everyone got busy with Sameer and Aisha's marriage. Aisha's full family reached Mumbai, they hired a big house to perform the function, when Rathod's were busy in preparations of welcoming their new daughter in law.
Roshni was very exited for her friend Sam's wedding, but she couldn't help much because of Addu. In spite of that, she didn't sit still, she was monitoring everything like a strict boss. Not only Rathod's she was putting a tab on the preparations at Aisha's place too. Shree, Chotu & liza were hell tired of obeying her, Arjun too. But non of them had enough courage to defy her.
But Addu was having his bit of fun in that hustle- bustle of wedding. He had met a big clan of people, where all love him. Sameer's parent's have a fancy to Addu so they took away him from his mom, even Aisha's parent's did the same. Besides he continued his usual mischief here too, so that everyday something unusual happens. In this days he saw almost every place of both houses, tasted different types of foods (of course eating from others), audience many incidents in the house and knew many things about the gusts, like Aisha's chichi likes jelebi, and her daughter already has a crash on Shree Mamu. Aisha's nani don't lik uncle Sam, according to her Sameer is an over smart guy who've trapped her naive Aishu. Uncle Sam's Dad is diabetic& a heart patient and his mom always put a tab on her husband, that he don't at restricted foods secretly.
Shree just had a SYS round from Mrs. Rawte, he sat at a corner panting. When someone put a hand on his shoulder.
Shree : Yaar, chotu..(sighed) Yeh Roshni Di se toh Arjun sir aur Rathod sir accha hain...jitna woh dono pure mahine main hum sab ko nahi jhaarta..uska double usne ek minut main jhaar dia.
Man : Haan, yeh biwiyan bohot jhaarte hain.
Shree looked up and he was shocked!
Shree : Sir!! Aap..woh who..
Arjun : It's ok...All set?
Shree : Haan sir...they are preparing for the evening. Bas decor main kuch changes hain..main karwa leta hoon...
Arjun : Make it fast..then we all have to prepare for the evening.
Shree : Right sir.

Roshni was searching for Addu. That kid is the busiest & luckiest person of the house. He's all time busy with someone pampering him. This time Roshni found Addu eating laddu with Sameer's dad.
Roshni : Uncle ! yeh kya? Aap laddu kha rahe ho?
Sr. Rathod : (startled) Non no beta..Addu & I was checking these laddus...thik thak bane ya nahi...hain na Chota Rawte?
Addu didn't heed him as he was busy with another piece of laddu.
Roshni : Ok..ok Addu is a kid..but uncle, why you? You are diabetic!! if aunty comes to know...
Sr. Rathod : Tu batana matt...yaar mere bete ke shadi..aab iss khushi main thora muh meetha to banta hain, nahi?
Roshni : but agar shadi ke pehle aap bimaar paroge toh shadi ka kya hoga? Tell me one thing..aapko Aisha pasand toh hain na?
Sr. Rathod : Haan...teri aunty ki younger version hain... Sameer ka band bazake chorega..jais uski maa ne mri bazayi hain... aur waqt aane pe tere Addu ke liye vi hum waise hi ladki dhoond ke layeng...( he cuddled Addu) ok Beta!!
Addu made a pout in reply.
Addu : (in mind) mere piche kyun pade ho..avi bhi bohot chota hoon...
Rosni : Accha thik hai..aap jaake ready ho jao...main addu ko ready karr deti hoon.
Roshni was going to her room with Addu, but Aisha called her , she attended the call and hand Addu to liza. Aisha wantd Roshni to join her to the parlor, but Roshni refused and asked her to take Saakshi instead. After she finished the call, she went to the room where all girls are getting ready, and the scenario shocked her.
Add sitting at the center of the bed, clad in a red scarf and girly makeup, looking like a cut little girl.
Roshni : Yeh kya hain!
Liza : Bas check karr rahi thi ki yeh ladki hota toh dekhne main kisi...
Neha ( Rathod's cousine) : bohot cute laagti..Roshni di..bitkul aap jaisi...
Roshni looked at the little boy sitting like a cute bridal doll in the middle of the bd..passing cut looks around, specially to Roshni for approval. She couldn't hold I anymore and burst out in laughter.
Rohni : hi..hi..hihihihi...yeh itni...itni...(poked Addu's cheek) sweetie...bilkul meri beti hain yeh...hihihi...ruko, arjun ko dikhati hoon.
She picked addu from the bed and went away, searching Arjun.
She found Arjun was working with the decor, she called him.
Arjun : Haan, Rosh..bas thora aur kaam hain..phir..
Roshni : arre idhar dekho...yeh kaun hain!
Arjun turned to see Roshni, she was standing with a baby girl clad in red scarf. Arjun moved closer and caressed her cheek.
Arjun : Hello cutie! Who's she Rosh?
Roshni : Guess?
Arjun : Kaun? Rathod ki kissi cousin ki bati hogi na?
That made Addu sad. Dad couldn't recognize me! He called his father and extended his hands to go to his lap. Arjun took him into his arms and caressed his back. Addu held his shirt tight.
Addu : Boo-baa..(meaning- dad! It's me!)
Arjun : Arre! Yeh toh Addu jaise baat karta hain!!
Now chota Rawte fisted his hands and shook the vigorously. He shook his head in frustration and made faces...along with a series of disapproving sounds.
Arjun : Yeh..yeh..(looked at Roshni, puzzled) Addu!! Rosh! Tumne isko kya banake le aayi!!
Roshni : Yeh main nahi...liza aur Neha ne ki...look he looks so cute!
Her smile made Addu happy. He clapped his hands.
Arjun : (observed his son)...haan...( then naughtily) Agar tumko ladki chahiye toh...kuch din aur wait karna parega...yeh Rathod thora settle ho jaye aur Addu ko thora aur bade toh hone do!
Before Roshni could answer a voice interrupted.
Rathod : haan,...yeh baat Rawte ne bilkul sahi bola hain.. Roshni, Addu kahan hain?
Arjun : Kyun?
Rathod : woh, usko ghora diknana hain..nahi toh sham ko darr jayga!
Arjun : Mera beta ghore se darr jay! No way..bilkul nahi darega, (to Addu) Hain na?
Addu : (shook his head) aa-aa!(meaning- right!)
No Rathod saw that red clothed baby in Arjun's lap.
Rathod : Yeh kiska hain! So cute! ( he poked it's cheek)
Roshni : You liked this kid!
Rathod : haan..kitni cute hain...
He caressed Addu's hand, and this time Addu spread his hand to Rathod, he wanted to go to his uncle Sam.
Addu : Un..um.
Rathod took him to his arms, waved him gently into his arms and poked his nose into the kid's cheek.
Roshni : Sam...aaj yeh tere saath ghore pe charega..what say?
Rathod : Nahi..addu charhega... we already have a deal.
Addu let out a chuckle... "haan.. main hi charunga."
Rathod : Addu kahan hain, Rosh..I'm getting late.
Arjun : Toh jaa na..isko le jaa...ek hi baat hain...agar isko ghora pasand aa gaya..toh Addu ko vi aayga...don't worry.
Before Rathod could ask, Neha showed up.
Neha : Arre Roshni di, chalo..wahan... (to sam) bhaisa! Aap avi yahi ho! Jaldhi karo..aapko ready bi hona hain na! Addu ko choro aur jao..
Rathod : Addu! Here? (he was searching around)
Arjun : here...he pointed at Addu.
Rathod : Yeeh! (he looked at the face) arre waah..kitni cute hain! But yeh kya mera accha khasa sher ko billi kise bana dia!Addu!
Addu waved his fisted hands happily. So finally uncle Sam recognized him!
Rathod : Haan..but yaar yeh mazak acchi nahi...kyun iss ko aise sab milke tang karr rahe ho..ladka hain..toh ladke ki tarha treat karo na! Neha! Yeh teri shararat hain na!
Neha : Haan...woh Addu ko humari makeup box main kafi interest tha..toh main aur liza ne thora laga dia..phir yeh scarf odha dia toh aur cute laaga..Addu bhi enjoy karr rahi thi..toh..
Rathod : Toh, bohot ho gaya..aab jaake isko wapas Addu banake lao...hume ghora dekhne jaana hain!
Neha took Addu away, grumbling.
Neha : Dekh lena bhaisa..aaj aapki ghore ki poonch pe patakh nahi bandh dia toh hamara naam bhi Neha nahi!
