He definitely did smile. It was subtle but there was glee in his eyes when Anjali blessed her from the heart. Maybe he worried that Anjali would still try to create a rift in their relationship but her verbal acceptance has put his mind at ease. Also he does care for her. He was a momma's boy in the pre - Swati fiasco times. It does hold importance to him that Anjali approves of his wife.
