1) I didn't really feel he was out of character in the bangles scene...he was still awkward, grouchy about putting the bangles on her...Paro was serene, bemused at his awkwardness but pleased to have gotten a gift from her husband...
Notable bit for me in this scene was Paro commenting on how Rudra always has a grouchy face and had one even the morning they woke up in Jaipur...and Rudra hurried to change the topic😆...now I know some people are wondering why he is awkward about it but I thought it was in character...he was never fully COMFORTABLE with Jaipur either even if he joked about it...but the moment Paro made a direct reference to the morning after, Rudra was in denial/don't want to talk about it mode...very much Rudra.
2) Then comes the volte face with Singh Sir's call...now honestly even I was a bit surprised seeing the degree of his anger so suddenly over the knowledge that Paro begged for his job...to me it's especially strange cuz he SAW Paro asking for his job back even in the morning...so why did he suddenly react so much?
My initial reaction aside, after thinking about it a bit, all I can conclude is that the MAGNITUDE of some things started to sink in for Rudra...first this struck a blow to his pride that Paro is begging for the job that is his pride, his honor...so he stomps off.
3) When Paro confronts him as he's trying to leave on his bike, out come more interesting statements...he wants to know with what right Paro begged for his job? Who is she to him? Now he may have asked this question to Paro but this question is actually addressed to himself...Kaun hai tu meri? We might have expected after the Jaipur epis that we'd see a mellower Rudra asking himself this question while looking at her earring all dreamily😆...but Rudra toh phir RUDRA hai...true to his name...he's asked this question in anger and is straining to remind HIMSELF that is not a real marriage, she is not his wife...and in order to do that he goes back to doing what he usually does, shouts at her...tells her to go away...Paro stands her ground and reminds him that he himself gave her the rights by marrying her...and if he so badly wants to be rid of her, he should pray to God for it.
4) Rudra's FBs at the chai stand were in a similar vein...Singh Sir's words ringing in his head that a girl who till yesterday was just a duty to him has now become so SIGNIFICANT in his life that he might be getting the one thing dearest to him in his life...his job...back because of her only...and Rudra doesn't want to hear this...he doesn't want to hear this, acknowledge the fact that Paro has become THAT significant in his life...that is why he's acting up I think.
5) Rudra telling Paro that she shouldn't smile like she really knows him...reminds me of a scene in the early days of the show...soon after they started their fake fiancee track, Rudra said something similar to Paro...don't start to think like you know me simply cuz you're living in my house, among my family...I think it freaks him out when she gives him that all knowing smile😆...today toh she was even happy to hear that he hated her😕😆...I guess Paro just doesn't take him seriously anymore...Major Saab, you'll have to deliver on your threats if you want her to take you seriously😆
