Beautiful post!!
Agree that we saw a 13 year old insecure boy than Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat!!! And so so so true that he is dependent on Paro more than she is dependent on him!!! Well said!!

well analysed! I also saw an insecure boy in the major in the friday episode but napstermonster is right there is lust and passion and a very adult need to keep Paro by his side and in his line of vision at all times!

Hello Kate Austen,
First- let me say I love your name as I am a huge Jane Austen fan.
Second- I am in your boat. Hindi is way down on my list of languages. I watch with subs and without for more feeling. LOL.
Third- I also started watching IPKKND last summer, after the entire show was actually done. I caught a set of re-runs and got hooked due to the Pride and Prejudice similarity. I had never in my life watched a Hindi soap prior to that. The show lost its appeal for me as well when I realized Mr. Darcy was not what he should have been an I kept wanting Elizabeth to kick him to the curb, lol.
Fourth- I completely agree with your take on Rudra. I also see that boy who has put all his emotions into his wife. He is so emotionally connected to her. He cannot even see straight. He will be devastated if he feels that she will leave him or he will lose her.
Fifth- Love how Rudra has always been a real man. he has mostly taken care of this woman, that he has vowed to hate. Gotta love him. REAL MAN with the qualities of a boy (all men really) lol.

Hi there...

Welcome to the forum and nice post!

First of all ...lets get the word janwar out of the way...That is a cheap characterization seen through Laila's eyes...that I don't think many viewers relate to...in any case...

Regarding Mushy or Insecure...One talks to the temperament ...the other talks to the reason for the behavior...It is not one or the other...

While the underlying factors on insecurities are exactly as your describe...based on his abandonment issues...The way he has dealt with them ...has been rather shutting himself...not going out to please others...His relationship with his dad who he valued most after his mothers departure is a good example of that...he is very uncomfortable with a display of his tenderness...and does everything to avoid it...In a very gruff manner indeed...

In any case it is not fair to conclude everything based on one episode...lets see how they move forward ...
