We hope many of you are excited as much as us because the seventh season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has kicked off with speed.

Indian Premier League (IPL) is a Twenty20 cricket tournament where different franchise teams participate for the title. The tournament started in 2008 and from then it usually takes place every year in the months of April - June. This year, we have 8 teams in total.

IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world - a combination of cricket and entertainment, slowly growing into became a worldwide phenomenon like other leagues. It is a tournament with seventy-six matches, spread all across the country where the leading international cricketers with Indian cricketers battle it out against each other in the Twenty20 format.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

This was the new team last season. Which in no time proved it's strength by reaching into the Semi's last year. It has a good batting line up and the bowling department will be well under control with Dayle Steyn, who is considered as the fastest bowler in the world, leading it. Under the captaincy of the powerful batsman Shikhar Dhawan, will the team be able to seal their win this year?

Chennai Super Kings

The Super Kings are the most successful team in the IPL having won the title twice in succession (2010 and 2011) and reached the play-offs every season. In 2012, they reached the finals once again but lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders and faced the same fate against Mumbai Indians in 2013. Led by M.S. Dhoni, will the team retain their position?

Match 17 of Pepsi IPL 2014 will feature the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings.

Both teams come into this contest on the back of wins. SRH edged past the Delhi Daredevils in Dubai, while CSK finished off the Mumbai Indians with precision. SRH have two points on the board after three outings and are placed in the bottom half of the table, while CSK are comfortably placed among the top two teams with three wins from four outings.

Until their previous match, against the Delhi Daredevils, the big area of concern for the Sunrisers Hyderabad had been the lack of runs from their top order. However, Shikhar Dhawan, Aaron Finch and David Warner came good in the previous match - and in spectacular fashion too - adding 179 runs together. Given that they are the three biggest names in the batting line-up, it is imperative that they keep at the task of scoring big runs.

Either Brendon McCullum or Dwayne Smith - who open for the Chennai Super Kings - have top-scored for their team in three of the team's four matches so far this season. Both batsmen can pack a punch in their strokes and aren't afraid to take the aerial route. Given how quickly they can score runs, and how quickly they can deflate the opposition, the onus will be on them to get the runs.
