Will Paridhi Sharma's harassment allegation result in Santram Verma's exit from the show?

A lot has been talked about the off screen scenarist of Zee TV'sJodha Akbar

Paridhi Sharma, who is portraying the character of Jodha in Zee TV's Jodha Akbarhad alleged that director of the show, Santram Verma sexually abused her, after which she had even threatened to quit the show. However, it was the meeting with the producer, Ekta Kapoor that calmed Ms Sharma, who decided to stay back. While on the other hand, Santram recently came out in open and squashed all the allegations and said that all of this is being done to tarnish his clean character.

Reportedly, Paridhi was sexually harassed by Santram time and again. Apparently, Paridhi was not the only victim of Santram. Ankita Dubey, who was once a part ofJodha Akbar had to leave the show as Santram affected her mentally as well as financially.

However, Santram in an interview with a daily denied all these accusations. He said, "All these are just rumors and there's is no truth to it. I've not physically abused Paridhi or anybody in my entire career. Paridhi and I are just professionals and we are here to just do our jobs. We don't even talk to each other, nor I've ever spoken to her on the phone so how can I molest? We have a team who co-ordinates with her for the shoots and all. In fact I don't even shoot her (Paridhi) scenes as Paridhi was close to the group who walked out of the show. They used to brain wash her as their only aim was to stop the shoot. So I always avoid shooting with her and have always maintained distance from Paridhi as I don't want any clash."

And now this whole tamaasha has took yet another interesting twist, as we hear that Santram has called it quits from Jodha Akbar. Yes, you read that right. Apparently, Paridhi escalated the matter once again and gave an ultimatum to the makers that if no action is taken against Santram, this time she would quit Jodha Akbar. And the makers had to give in and decided to have Santram leave the show.

I don't believe the sexual harrasment news was Ever True but One thing is for sure He must be behaving more rudely with her and making the work atmosphere difficult and negative for her as It clears even with the interview there are problems between them.So Like He has done with Ankita,and many other crew members,Paridhi must be suffering with his bad behaviour too.😡

I'm just happy She stood up for herself and her rights,No one has that right to behave rudely and show attitude to the peope who work under him just bcoz He is talented and succesful...!!!😳and He is famous for this type of behaviour much before this Pari's issue came out.😳

And those who worry that what'll happen to this show without Santaram,Just know that show has run two months in between without him and We didn't even realized!!And It was a great time period of the show,I guess during October-November(Not Sure!!).Ekta has many other Good Directors who'll take the show to new heights with better direction and Execution and the Magical Leads that We have!!😉 ❤️
Santaram's work quality has badly degraded anyhow from last 5-6 months,the worst I could see in an Ekta show!! 😛 😳

paridhi has never put any allegations

but if it is true then kudos to paridhi sharma and ekta kapoor to show him the right place👏

i think it will affect our show..i wish they cud have solved the problem..he was good director..and our showing dung well..bt with new director..dont konw wat will happen then..

i agree! whatever is happening off screen nobody knows..its all game of politics and jealousy..which has lead to all this!

I must say I am very surprised at the reaction of some in this forum. I had expected whole hearted support for a woman being victimized by a person who has a record of creating trouble.

If this forum was populated mostly by men, maybe it would have made some sense, but even then I am sure overwhelming support would have been with the woman. Here I am totally perplexed.

As for impact on the serial, Santram has been gone for nearly a month, I can't't see much of a difference in the show. Last year he was on leave for nearly 2 months and I did not see any difference then either.

One person does not make or break a show. Many factors come into play. If Rajat or Paridhi for example decided to quit, the ratings will suffer but the overall quality of the show may not see much of a difference because the underling support structure remains the same.

he has worked with much more beautiful women than paridhi before too never ever heard of this type of thing..and did PS file a case against SV regarding SH? if she has not then she should take him to court and prove it so that he can get what he deserves...! this guy is from the film industry and that line is full of females that present themselves to male producers and directors to get minor roles...that is how it works over there,,here PS is the main lead and he is the seasoned director why would he or she need to go that far???

I understand your point of view but I sort of expected support for a woman in trouble, because the facts in this case are scarce. If in the future news leaks out that it was Paridhi being troublesome then criticism of her would be totally justified.

But here, with past history as a guide and the fact that she is a woman, my initial reaction would be to support her.
