I saw this article in the Pioneer dated 20th April. I am surprised it was not noticed before. The article is pretty boring and is about shooting in out of the way places, but Paridhi's comments in it are very interesting-

As if hectic schedules and shooting bulk episodes much in advance was not enough, actors are now getting bogged down by the trend of shooting away from Mumbai. Most agree that they continue to take this away-from-Mumbai stress mainly because of the big-banner ticket to stardom. But doesn't this long stay away from the hub of the industry limit their career options?

"Not really. If you are playing a lead character or a semi-lead (part of a serial for 500 episodes) then it is difficult to even consider endorsements, forget about doing a parallel show. The idea of doing a cameo in another serial doesn't exist. But it is better to do one big show rather than seek out five not-so popular shows.Jodha Akbar is my dream project and I am going to optimise this opportunity," Paridhi Sharma who plays Jodha in Zee TV's flagship historical drama, says. Sharma has kept her fans guessing with her kabhi haa aur kabhi nahin attitude which lasted over two months but the Mumbai girl now says she has matured with the show. "I am not going anywhere," she says.

Big thanks for sharing this article. I am huge fan of both Paridhi and Rajat and I think they are just amazing as Jodha and Jalal.

I was busy so did not get a chance to comment on thread about Santaram Verma quitting post. So here just adding my bit.
I was amazed at blame Paridhi for director exit posts!

This is an industry where channels, production houses and directors rule. Common actors are popular but hardly have a huge influence.

If there is one producer who is firm tough and knows the tv industry it is Ekta Kapoor. She is the last person who will get manipulated or forced into something.

Not to forget this is not Paridhi's 1st but 3rd serial (though I have not watched both) and if there was even a hint of attitude or unpleasantness does anybody think producer like Ekta Kapoor would have risked casting her? She chose her from 7,000 and see how perfect she is.

Same for Rajat he is hugely hugely popular but I doubt even he would have the influence of a director with experience of many serials.

Why when there was news about fracas on sets ALL of them had one name in common? Be it 90 creatives walking away, old Moti and someone being punched. I remember you had written then wish that man had filed a complaint or someone might file a complain in future (don't remember which). If he had then situation would not have had to come to this!

Old Moti complained about less screen space and we get overdose of new who is not even marginally close to old one!

There has not been a word said by Paridhi badmouthing. She has tried to be as dignified and only sorted out her issue, saying have issues is not bad mouthing! I think both Paridhi and Rajat have been utter professionals and not washed any dirty linen in public.

I support Paridhi and I hope she knows and even Rajat knows how much we love them as Jodha and Jalal. Lets hope for more success for them and JA.

As for Santaram Verma he is obviously hugely talented and had equal part in making JA popular but just a part. Everybody contributes, I also read some info that he might not be directing but will be involved in executive capacity or whatever. It is not pleasant to read somebody part of such success part away with bitterness.

Hope things are amicable now and better working atmosphere.
