After the SRK-Kajol pairing, theirs was one of the most exciting jodis to watch onscreen. But Abhishek Bachchan may have just lost favour with his all-time favourite leading lady Rani Mukherji by not inviting her to his marriage to Aishwarya Rai.
While the duo will be seen in the upcoming 'Dhrona', the 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' actress now says she shares the best vibe with Saif Ali Khan. "Saif and I are not friends, but we share great chemistry on the sets. If he's stuck on a scene, he doesn't hesitate to ask for my advice," adding in good humour, "We're very vain - we look at our performances and pat each other on the back!"
She dismisses rumours of fighting with him in New York. "I wish Saif well and I know he feels he same towards me. We've grown as actors. 'Hum Tum' was a breakthrough film for both of us; it bonded us and got me an award."
On a completely different front, the actor reveals she regrets working with Mira Nair. "I don't regret missing out on 'The Namesake', but I regret not working with Mira. I loved Jhumpa Lahiri's novel and I love the film. But I wasn't convinced about playing the mother of a 25-year old guy."
So, is the film-maker miffed with her. "Mira understood my point of view. I'm so fond of her; we meet up whenever I'm in New York. I'm sure we'll work together. 'The Namesake' isn't Mira's last film, you know!"she ends.
