The episode starts with Barkha asking Nikhil if he knew how all the facilities he is used to having are afforded, she asked him if he would be able to survive the harsh realities of life without their financial support. She told him once this intoxication of love Is passed he would realize. Nikhil smiled cynically and told her that love was not something like alcohol that only gives temporary high, he went on to say that one can really go to any length in love. He went on to say she doesn't even understand the meaning of love.
In their room,laajo is all sad while Nikhil tells her that his mom had never ever loved her, she just assumed he was guilty and ignored him from then onwards. He asked her not to feel scared. He tried to make her feel better by trying to bring smile back on her face. He asked her if she was scared of mom or the fact that he might leave her .She just looked on .Nikhil reassured Laajo that he would never leave her as he really loves her. He went on to reassure her by saying they would live in small house and small bed on floor, he asked her if she was ready for such a simple life with him.
She smiled sadly and asked, are you asking me? I get scared from big houses and cars, I get happy with small things, I am small and I like smaller things. He said well then I would always take care of my little one. He asked her to cheer up and then gave her a phone, she said a new phone, I don't need one , In my room in Delhi I have...
he interrupted her and showed her the old phone, he told her it was his phone now as it had special memories in it. He told her when he first saw this phone in her room and saw only one saved number he subconsciously had realized that she loved him, but he couldn't understand then. Laajo is moved by Nikhil's talk and puts her head on his shoulder(such a powerful scene, no insecurities, intensity, sadness, romance and emotional connection all combined together. Such brilliant artist yaar...they need my salutes...👏👏👏)
Barkha is all agitated trying to call some one, her driver came and told her the car's axial broke due to village roads and they need mechanic from city. Car wont get fixed until tomorrow. She told the driver that he could go to city or hell, she doesn't care but she wants car fixed. Suddenly her phone rings and inder is calling. He asked her what was she doing, at least she should have thought about her health. She told him ,she was fine but Nikhil was not listening. He said Nikhil is adult now, don't force your decisions on him, she is teary eyed and said, of course I know he is adult now, he has told me he would live in a rented house, small place, work nominal jobs but wont leave Laajo. Inder said barkha if you force him, he would have no choice, Barkha got angry again and said once he knows the price of groceries, he would realize and his passions will dry off. She shouted that even then she wont change her decision and that girl wont ever enter her house.
Inder tried to object but she told him off by saying he should think like a father.
Anu is making food ,she is frying puris. Laajo asked her if it was for Barkha,she said yes.
Laajo went on to say that mom eats less oily food, so she would make it, Nikhil came in and saw her ,she was thinking about how barkha was still adamant about not accepting her, Nikhil came and helped her make food, he teased her about her worries about mom.He cheered her up and helped her make the food(aww they were so cute together...nice chemistry) he told her mom wont eat if she finds out who made the food. She said we wont tell her,she is tired and needs food.
Anu asked baba to speak up for Laajo,baba said his family and sons don't care about him and his decisions but anu told him he must speak up👏(hint Cvs big show down between Barkha and baba is due)
Barkah is on table an d Nikhil comes in.Laajo is also serving with anu. Barkha tastes the food and asked who made the food,anu asked if something was not right.
Barkha had recognized Laajo's food it seems, she said she wont eat food made by Laajo.Laajo tried to make her eat and tried to pacify her. But Barkha asked her to leave her son alone. Nikhil banged his water glass on table and told his mom that wont happen, Laajo would stay with him. Barkha leaves the table .Anu and Laajo went after her but Nikhil held Laajo back and told her to eat with him, she refused but he made her eat, he told her he wants to live happy life with her and feeds her and she bit him laughingly.(am amazed at the ease of performance by all)
In their room Nikhil is sleeping and dreaming of his brother, he is pleading to his mom to forgive him,he kept on saying it was not his fault while laajo is listening, Nikhil wakes up startled and agitated, Laajo hugged him and calmed him down, she gently told him it was not his fault. She told him that she knows he must have tried his best to hold on but it was god's will. Nikhil said mom never agrees, she insists it is my fault. That is why she hates every thing I do. That is why she even hates you.He told her that Mom thinks if You are gone from my life my punishment will be complete. He asked her would my punishment be complete Laajo.She hugged him and told him she would never leave him ever.(beautiful emotional scene, very well enacted..i know I sound like parrot na repeating same thing😆
pre cap Laajo confronts Barkha who asked her who was laajo to interfere in barkha's life and Laajo answers...your son's wife.👏👏👏👏👏
my take on episode is that it was beautiful yet a very big surprise episode. I did not expect this beautiful episode. Nikhil strives on Laajo's goodness. His ability to connect with Laajo was amazing.
Loved how Nikhil knows why his mom wants him away from Laajo because she is one single person who doesn't expect anything from Nikhil and loves him selflessly. He knows his mom is jealous, she thinks if she cant be happy and if her other son couldn't live Nikhil has no right to live happily either.
