Last days a terrible thing happened in my town

a 4-year-girl was raped by the School bus driver...😡

i was shocked after reading this news ...

She is an innocent child,

she will probably did not even know what happened with her ? and why ?

How can children be protected from such monsters

It is not possible for parents to be always with child

Today's parents are busy at work , therefore it is necessary to take other help for Children

How could a little girl defending herself ?

How to teach kids about self-defense ?

Children are always told to stay away from strangers

but sometimes it's familiar person who rape children ...😡

How parents save their children from this Cruel world

What is the solution to prevent child exploitation...

That was indeed a very sad incident, Manu. The worst thing was school not accepting it and trying to suppress things.
I am not sure, if any protective measures have been implemented yet or not. Perhaps not.

I hope schools have learned lesson from it.

That is horrible, poor girl. Feel bad for her, that driver deserve not jail, I know that this what I will said isnt good but death is only solution maybe that is way to stop them, otherwise go to jail only will not stop mans like him. Poor girl her life now is complitly destroyed. Same like that happen im my country to, but girl have 12 years. And that man is in jail now, but nothing is change. Probably he will go out soon :S and girl will not have happines back.

Very sad , horrible as well as shameful incident for our society😭.Rape is the most inhuman crime.and in this case this happen to a kid who actually do not know what is the meaning of rape...Govt need to wake up ...this type of criminal need the punishment of death...😡

So saddening. Such crimes are committed by perverts. Their beastly instinct is so strong that they are unable to restrain themselves from indulging in such barbaric acts. Even the stringent rules are unable to check this henious crimes. Hope the minor is recovering . I pray for her speedy recovery

however it would be difficult for her to overcome the trauma and the fear.

Sadly this kind of news is actually starting to become the norm not just in India but even elsewhere. Its a very sorry situation when innocent children are becoming victims of such cruelty and it speaks so much about our society as a whole. And what makes it all the more unfortunate is that in 80% of the cases the rapist always turns out to be someone familiar or close to the victim.

Strengthening the judicial system and making laws much more stricter is the need of the hour but we all know thats easier said than done.

The best thing parents can do is to talk to their kids and make them aware about the kinds of people out there and explain to them that if they are ever subjected to any kind of action or behaviour they don't feel comfortable with to immediately complain about it. Basically they must form a close relationship of trust with their kids where they are encouraged to talk about everything openly without feeling scared at all. I feel this should also apply to teachers and counselors as well.

One effective way would be for the Government to keep a register of sexual offenders, like they do in the US, so that the offenders are aware they are being monitored and people will also be careful. But alas in a country like ours with such a huge population (plus even some in government themselves have such records) it would be a next to impossible task.

Child abuse ...rape is a heinous crime .most of the child abuse cases were suppressed either by parents or by police!

Unusually casual attitude by police is also one of the main reason for rising such crimes ...grim stories and dystopian futures !

These incidents will open a Pandora box of how horrible state we are in ...there is no security what so ever for a girl child In the present day society ! ---not at home , not in the school , in one word ...no secured place under the sun for a girl ! The pain ,anxiety ,fear ,anger and shame , who will understand her plight ,what a pathetic situation we are in ?

The rape and then the trauma of the subsequent incidents will haunt the victim throughout her life !

Here the victim is a hapless child , who is psychologically in a devastated state , as you rightly described the plight of that small girl ...she is not in a position to realise what has happened to her ! Why that pain , fear , suffering , both mental and physical for that tender soul , agony for her parents ...---how long we have to live in such morbid conditions ??

Stringent steps has to be taken by law makers ,and those laws and rules should be implemented strictly by the care takers of the people ! That is what is required at present !

It is difficult to get tragedies like this to zero, but some reasonable measures can reduce the risks.

What parents can do -

Emphasize "stranger danger" to children

Teach them to be alert and safe even if they are friends, relatives etc.

Encourage children to always remain in groups and watch out for each other.

Inform them how to get help in emergencies.

Parents and guardians should volunteer to chaperone school bus rides, picnics, kids get together etc. 2-3 adult chaperones will act as check and balance against threats.

What everyone can do -

Keep a watchful eye on children

Intervene whenever a child looks abused, scared or uncomfortable. Family can be abusive to and it is OK to intrude in personal business if it ensures safety of children.

Always report suspicious activity to authorities

What employers (schools) can do

Maintain thorough records of all employees and conduct background checks upon hire and annually. If not prevent crimes good record keeping and checks can help catch criminals.

Install GPS tracking systems on all school buses

Install security cameras through school buildings

Have bus drivers and traveling employees carry GPS enabled work phones

What authorities can do -

Setup a sex offenders database

Emulate Amber alert type setup in India

Develop 911 emergency type response systems
