The Upper Limit of Romance on 9:30PM Slot

So we all agree that PaRud/SanIsh have a sizzling onscreen chemistry. Although we can't expect too much "explicit content" when it comes to their onscreen romance, the question is how much we can really expect? Since it's a romantic saga, we know that romance is an integral part of the show.

Like I mentioned earlier the only other Indian show I could consider watching apart from RR is Tumhaari Paakhi on LifeOK. On average, I watch an episode every two/three weeks cuz although the plotline is interesting, I feel the CVs drag a track endlessly.

Anyhow, the main point is that the leads had a romantic terrace date in last night's episode. And they were pretty intimate. I had read that Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar had shot a very intimate episode on their Sony show but then it was kind of justified with the argument of the show being on 10:00PM slot. The IPK director remarked that the intimate scene of his leads did not turn out as beautifully as he had imagined it. But then again I thought it was a show on the 8:00PM slot which kind of puts so many limitations on what exactly they could "show." So I had these two extreme examples in my mind that kind of made it difficult to define what exactly can we expect from PaRud. Since Tumhaari Paakhi is a 9:30PM show as well, I think it's a good measure of the standard we can set.

If they can bring us something like what I saw in Tumhaari Paakhi, I think that would be awesome. I thought it was neither "vulgar" not "way too censored." Just the right balance I'd say.

Here's the scene in case you'd want to watch it:

As per IF rules, you cannot discuss, compare and analyze other shows here.It offends sentiments.

Please re-write/ edit your post. This is not Tumhaari Pakhi forum or IPK forum, so please stick to RR and its concerns.

I have made it a point not to say anything that could possibly offend anyone's sentiments. If it still does, then I'm sorry to say that such people need to grow up. I did edit a small part of my post that could be criticized though after your word of caution - thanks.

As for the place of this post on IF. Please tell me where exactly can I discuss this topic. Go to Tumhaari Paakhi forum? But I am just using that show as a point of comparison. My object of comparison is RangRasiya which kind of explains this post needs to be here. My reason behind making this comparison is the fact that both TM and RR happen to be on the same time slot. I fail to see how I am discussing TM in my post... Did you feel that I was analyzing/criticizing the show?

If the supposed IF policy truly forbids me from making as general and neutral a post as this one, then I must say that it's very sad which calls for a serious discussion with those policy makers. But I am quite positive that the policies couldn't get that absurd. Policies are general guidelines and I guess we could use our intellects to draw our own lines based on those guidelines :).

When we don't follow a show we can't just check out their intimate scene..obviously we will have our own view points.. Don't unnecessarily create cat fights.. Put it in the TP forum and discuss it it to your hearts content.
If u want to discuss intimacy u can bring comparisons with hindi movies that is allowed,,

I'll pretend that I did not read this comment because you're completely missing the point. I'm sorry if I happened to be that confusing.

If I were to follow your suggestion.. I'd technically go and make the same post in 4 different forums. And I don't see that happened cuz to me this post belongs to RR forum.

Oyster, I am not saying that you are criticizing anything. Its just that other shows are not allowed for discussion , because they tend to lead to comparisons and arguments.

"Point of comparison" leads to instigation. Infact, here on RR forum itself, scores of IPK posts have gotten locked for the same reason.

Tumhari Pakhi has nothing to do with Rangrasiya and using it as a point of comparison may not sit well with members here AT ALL.

That said, I only gave a reminder of IF rules. You are free to continue with your post if you think there is nothing wrong with it.

MKM, I obviously see your point and concern and I truly appreciate it. But I don't see how I'm discussing TP here. See if I had compared the recent dance of PaRud with the leads of TP.. I could see how that post would generate arguments. All I was trying to say here is how much of intimacy can we expect from a show on 9:30 slot.. It made it so much easier to cite an example which happened to be TP. It could be any other show too but I don't watch other soaps.

I dont know about TP, never watched it.

Regarding RR showing intimancy, I'm sure the writers have something planned for the lead couple. They wouldn't call it an intense bold love story if they didnt mean it.

in the UK TV censorship is relaxed post 9pm, Im not sure how things work in India.

NB it doesn't have to be something way too explicit of course. But it has to be something beautiful and memorable that just stays with you. You're right about the promise of an intense, love story that the makers have made and they better stick to it cuz you know how promises are meant to be broken especially in the case of Indian soaps :).
