I do not think that draupadi felt attracted to all. the simple reason is that no woman thinks polyandry as a usual thing.

when draupadi came with pandavas she came as a lady who was won in swayamvara and she naturally thought she would marry one person. because it is the usual practice.

pandavas divided her amongst themselves only because kunti unknowingly said "divide" among yourselvs.

if kunti had not said it pandavas would not have shared draupadi . it is not today's world. I don't believe she "stared" at them all? shamelessly so that they all thought why not "share" her.

another reason is the impossibility of "sharing" a woman among five men. vyasa is the narrator of the story. he has his liberties.

God knows what happened. pandavas would not molest her so draupadi would not scream. nor would they force her being what they are.

draupadi just accepted her fate. because pandavas decided to share her. polyandry was uncommon even in dwapar yug.

talking like druapadi's "sexuality" and she "desiring" all five is like people talking dirty of women in today's times. like if they get molested "serves them right" why did they wear "modern" dresses and went about etc etc.

polyandry as a decision is a difficult one to make . once made everyone abides by it. even draupadi even the rest of the pandavas.

they had other wives. and they never shared these women. were these women less sexual? why talk dirty of draupadi like she "enjoyed" it all. she accepted it. did not contest it. her father questioned it. but was pacified.

vyasa the sage was a very old man. he wrote from his point of view. never from a woman's point of view. in those days and age.

dont worry guys. today's times are more modern. today's times women get molested. for wearing modern dresses. it did not happen in those days. everyone wore one type of dress only . no fashionable / country not western/ nor eastern. each dress was cumbersome. every incovenience was more. than what it is now. still people lived overcoming these difficulties. polyandry just happened to pandavas. the men enjoyed it. naturally . they got their cake and ate it too. they all had individual wives and had draupadi too. drauapadi just got all of them. and accepted it. and in this kalyug there are people like "above" who call her over "sexual" just because vyasa says she "stared" at them. which made them share her.

I have read mahabharat too. it said they shared her because kunti said so. it did not say druapadi stared at them. slept at their feet "peacefully" no body heard her "screams" etc etc. this is all new and enlightening. really !

and on top of that someone says "five men" and "one "In laws"" guys this is kalyug and who wants to be the "patni" who does "seva" to her in laws? and be married to "five men" who would not be "jealous" of each other simply because they are brothers? and the rest of the stuff is about "energies" and mid thirties and forties and etc etc. disgusting.

to think mahabharata trigges such feelings in people. they live in kalyug and think of having five men and then they think very piously of having "one in law pair" and "serving" them easily.

this is kalyug and "in laws" are considered "baggage" if it makes you happy have five men. I don't think anybody would have five kids that too all men. so I don't think one would be lucky on that score. may be two men if you are lucky three men. in one house. definitely not five men. those days are gone.

I dont remember the staring part.. but the part in bold is definitely there.. I dont understand why she should NOT be happy with the set up.. she accepted is what we know and rest of it is free to interpret.. I dont have any base to think she was unhappy or accepted that as her FATE.. To think she was happy with it seems more logical as it has a base...

This topic is done dusted and beaten to death.
This who want to think draupadi was a victim and compares her marriage to molestation and rape, please do it. References and citations have been providee in oodles jn this very thread. But obviously vyas knew less about Drauapdi than us or the million author interpretations that are clearly pov of authors of later time. Obviously vyas does not know about Drauapdi and her mine because after all jane austen did not know what went on in Elizabeth Bennett's mind.
Those who wanna read the full translation , they can Google kishori kohan ganguli mahabharat, its open source and available online for free. It also can be bought at a nominal sum on kindle. Other books like devdutt pattnaik jaya and Ramesh menon mahabharat, which r kmg condensed for those of us who do not have time sheafing to Shakespeare an language; are also available in kindle or any book store.
I think this topic neees to be closed since its same ghasitna going onnn now.

Draupadi is a great Sati. Loving husband with complete dedication is called pativrata dharma, & she did it.
those who think that she was forced to marry 5 men, should understand MB very carefully. only reading & knowing its meaning is not enough. you should think it Spiritually.
Please remember that Draupadi was a ayonijaa, not born from mother's womb, she appeared from yajna fire, this type of Soul must has the memory of previous birth. she knew that Lord Shiva gave her boon of 5 husbands & so she also fell in love with all 5. If she did not want to marry all of them then why did she not protest? What do you think? the fire-lady who could easily reject Karna in a public place, why did she not protest against Yudhishthir's final utterings which led her to marry 5? Epic says that she was looking at all, surely she became happy to get all of them, as you will never see her unhappy just after this incident. When Dhrishtadyumna saw his sister, he found her lying near the feet of Pandavas & she was very happy indeed! Also, Spiritually reading MB will tell you that it's very natural for all Pandavas to feel love towards Draupadi as it was a last birth connection. God's boon & previous karma can never be avoided even if you have taken a new body & forgot your last birth. God will make a situation that will bring the last birth's deeds in front of you. Pandavas & Draupadi were connected to each other by Lord Shiva's boon. Nobody could change them as this marriage was destined from their last birth & accepted by God.

Note:

This topic was started to discuss about how Draupadi being pativrata is justified by the MB by Vyasa against some claims of ridiculing her marrying pandavas.
TM on pg 15, has made her stand clear about this topic.
Let's remember one thing, this story is of Dwapar Yuga. Today we being in Kali Yuga try to analyse people's behaviour with a very different perspective. While doing so, instead of debating, some are attacking others who do not agree with their views. This is certainly not allowed here.
