Can anyone please tell me why is Sanam calling Dilshad 'badi ammi'??? I mean she is her dadi, so why not 'dadi', 'dadu' or something of such sort.

guess its becuz she's a muslim... remember everyone used to call rashid's mum as badi ammi.. i think badi ammi is equivalent to dadi..

No dear...m a Muslim and that's why i didn't get that concept...badi ammi means 'badi maa', what u call ur father' elder brother's wife...'taai' i guess in Hindi (m not sure..plz don't kill me if m wrong) and about Rashid's mum...only Razia n her husband used to call her that...they can call her..may be they used to think of Rashid's father as Siddique' elder brother...that's not a problem..but Ayaan n siblings always called her dadi...well may be they are trying something different...something out of league this time. 🤣

She can call her dadi but she probably says it because of the close relationship they have. In our family we do something like that for example I call my uncle that's older then my dad "wada abu" because of how close we are with him and he doesn't like it if you call him anything else. I hope that helps and I know it might sound strange.

Thank u Mehvish...and I understand what u meant..even I call my uncles who are elder to my father "bade abbu" n my aunties "badi ammi" but that's who they are...why is Sanam calling her "dadi" badi ammi?? that's kinda new and I have never heard of such things...but anyways I just wanted to know may be there is something I don't know about
