After having been ousted from Tarun Mansukhani's untitled film (starring Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Saif Ali Khan), she might be seen in Karan Johar's next production. However, it is definitely not for Karan's much-talked-about next, which is set in New York and stars Shah Rukh Khan. An 'unusual' love story, the film will be directed by Siddharth Malhotra, who has previously assisted Karan in Kal Ho Naa Ho. Siddharth is presently writing the screenplay of the film. Talking about the new film Karan says, "I have approved the script. He is writing it out now. The cast should be finalised in a month's time." We are no strangers to the fact that Kareena has been very keen on working with her favourite director (read Karan Johar) for the longest time, after a period of fallout with him. Be it interviews or brief appearances on telly, she has been vocal about her aspirations. Tarun Mansukhani's untitled film was a big project for her till Abhishek Bachchan decided not to work with her. If sources are to be believed, Abhishek refuses to work with anyone from former girlfriend Karisma's immediate family. Her last appearance in a Dharma Production film was for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Another source close to the actress says, "Kareena has been in talks with Karan for sometime for various projects. But nothing has really materialised. Hopefully, this one should work out." Karan, however, refuses to spell the name of her leading lady. When quizzed about Kareena, he says, "I can't confirm anything just yet. As for the film it's an unusually written film. It is a one-guy-one-gal romantic film." Nevertheless, our sources insist that Kareena stands a good chance of grabbing the film. Another source close to Karan says, "He doesn't quite deal with average actresses. He just ropes in stars. Kareena is yet to sign on the dotted line as she is filming for Imtiaz Ali's next film. But she has been more or less finalised for the role."

Mmmmmhhh ... Unusual love story? how does the new york setup with SRK or a one guy one gal romantic flick make it an Unusual Love story? 😆

But oh well its still a Kjo film and i m gna watch it anyway! Hope its good!

But i dun get one thing .. why did abhishek refuse to work with kareena becoz of karisma? I mean how can he mix up personal and work stuff!! That was very unprofessional of him.
